I think the first generation Rio is derivitive of what Ford sold in the US badged as the Aspire.
The Ford Aspire was an appropriately named car. It aspired to be a real car but fell short. 10 Best Auto Glass Repair in Camp Verde Directory
The first Rio had it's share of problems. Electrical, head gasket, etc... Really no worse than an Escort, Cavalier, or Neon though.
The current generation (05+) is a similar design to the Hyundai Accent. It should be a better quality car
What Is The Highest Paid Automotive Mechanic Best Ten Auto Glass Repair in Camp Verde Directory?
I Asked A Question A Couple Of Weeks Ago About Mechanics And I Saw That Someone`S Mechanic Teacher Worked At Land Rover And Made Over $200,000 A Year. If You Are An Automotive Mechanic For A Luxury Car Company Does That Generally Pay You High? I Have Always Wanted To Be A Mechanic For A Nice Company Like Mercedes-Benz Or Bmw
most Mechanics are paid on what is called a flag hour scale based on an hourly rate. so if a say for instance a tune up,and a brake jobwith turning the rotors. calls for a total of 7 flag hours. And the Mechanic completes the entire Job in 3 hrs. Then they pay him for 7 hrs at what ever his hourly rate is. but if that same job takes him 10 hrs to complete then he only gets paid for 7 hrs. 10 Best Auto Glass Repair in Camp Verde Directory
So a good mechainc who is fast and accurate can make as much as he wants in one day. So $200,000 a year is possible without working for BMW , Mercedes- Benz.
What Toyota 4Runners (What Years) Had Problems With Blown Had Gaskets?
I'M Looking At A 1999 Toyota 4Runner V6 And I'M Wondering If There'S A High Likelihood Of The Head Gaskets Going Out. Or We'Re Those Problems Fixed By That Year 10 Best Auto Glass Repair in Camp Verde Directory?
Head gaskets haven't really been a trouble spot on either of the 3rd-generation (1996-2002) engines. There is the occasional head gasket failure in that generation, but the percentage isn't large enough to be notable.
The engine with the most notorious head gasket issues was the 3VZ-E 3.0L V6 that was available in 4runners from 1988-1995. Even then, the problematic head gaskets were replaced by Toyota under a service bulletin and the failure rate on the replaced gaskets is not high enough for concern. The rumor mill ran wild with the initial head gasket failures, so the 3VZ-E still has a tarnished reputation, even though it's a fairly decent engine as a whole. 10 Best Auto Glass Repair in Camp Verde Directory
I Failed My Smog Test?
My 2001 Cadillac Deville Just Failed The Smog Test. It Said It Was The Vehicle Failing The Mil/Check Engine Light Test Due To Failure To Successfully Complete All Obd Self Tests. Also The Obd Diagnostics Said The Catalyst Was Not Ready And The Evaporative System Not Ready. Can Anyone Explain This To Me And Suggest What I Should Do? Thanks 10 Best Auto Glass Repair in Camp Verde Directory
The car runs some tests of the emissions system as you drive it. Sometimes these tests require several hundred miles of normal driving to complete, or specific types of driving, called a "drive cycle". For example, some tests might require the car to be warmed up and going over 35 mph for a certain amount of time.
OBD means On Board Diagnostics. Having OBD tests not complete means the OBD system hasn't had time to complete all its tests. This can happen if the battery was replaced or run dead recently.
http://www.justanswer.com/cadillac/2ujzp-need-drive-cycle-cadillac-seville-sls-2001.html shows a drive cycle. You just need to do the ones related to the catalyst (5 minutes of steady 55-60mph). That should take care of your evap system also. If not, do the ones that say "EVAP purge" also. 10 Best Auto Glass Repair in Camp Verde Directory
How Do You Change The Water Pump In A '95 Ford Contour Do You Have To Remove The Motor Mount Or Timing Belt 10 Best Auto Glass Repair in Camp Verde Directory?
For the V6 of this model year, it's relatively easy. Best to ensure the engine cannot be started by removing the battery ground cable first. While draining the coolant via the rad petcock (don't ask me how these things get their names), remove the plastic cover over the front cylinder bank. The water pump should then be visble on the driver side of the block below the front head. It is driven by the front camshaft pulley and a belt that uses a small tensioner. You can release the belt tension by hand. The air filter housing cover and inlet that is attached to the air horn (on top of the engine) and anything connected to this assembly, must be removed. There are also a few small hoses, wiring connectors and other paraphenalia that will have to be disconnected. Make careful observations during dis-assembly and re-assembly. 10 Best Auto Glass Repair in Camp Verde Directory
Sorry that my memory is a bit fuzzy on this part, but I recall that some of the pump mounting bolts are what are sometimes referred to as through-bolts (since they pass through something you usually don't want to disturb; in this case the pump housing attached to the block). I was careful not to disturb this housing too much; there may have been one or two bolts holding it in place that did not need to be disturbed. If that's the case, leave them alone and you should not need any other gaskets other than the one for the pump assembly. Always check your new parts for clues to dis-assembly and to confirm you have the right part for the job. Make sure all of the old gasket material has been scraped/sanded of of the block before installing your new or rebuilt pump. 10 Best Auto Glass Repair in Camp Verde Directory

Selling My Car, Had It Smog In August, Do I Need To Resmog It To Sell It.?
Had My Car Smog August 2006 To Get It Registered With Dmv, But I Have Decided To Sell My Car. Do I Have To Re-Smog It To Sell It? Or Is The Certificate Still Good?
A California smog certificate is good for 90 days. It is also the responsibility of the seller to smog the vehicle prior to change of title. The Calif DMV website contains this information.
It seems unfair that a vehicle that was recently smogged has to go through the test again! But that is the way it is.
California Smog Test?
My Car (Jetta 97) Got Check Engine Light On... They Told Me I Need To Clean The Fuel Injectors, Is That Expensive??? I Need To Fix It Because I Need To Get The Smog Test Next Month
The "Check Engine" light will only come on when the computer detects a condition that can cause the emissions to rise to a level one and a half times the maximum allowable level for that vehicle.
That could be from a failed injector to a sleepy oxygen sensor, to a shorted wire a the temperature sensor to… (?)
We need to know the code number to go further.
For Your Information…
merely adding an additive will not repair a mechanical fault of failure.
The code itself must be addressed, THEN the light must be turned off (it will not go out by itself), and then the car must be driven in a prescribed manner so that the computer can test all the monitors.
If this last step is not fully completed, the light may be off, but the car wil still fail the Emissions Test for "Monitors Have Not Been Run To Completion".
The best thing for you to do is take the little car to a reputable QUALITY repair shop, preferably an ASE certified shop, and diagnostics performed, and appropriate repairs made.

If U Google All Of That U Can Find The Truck Im Talking About I Got It In A Trade But Not From The Orignal Owner..Im Having Some Issues With It. 1 Sometimes The Truck Will Start Up And Then Stall Out And The Only Way To Start It Again Is To Spray Starter Fluid Into The Intake But After It Starts Back Up Its Stays Running And Will Drive. Problem 2 The Truck Has No Acceleration And When I Get On The Highway Top Speed Is 70Mph In 4Th Gear At 3500Rpm If I Shift To 5Th The Truck Slows Dont And I Have To Down Shift To Speed Up Again Oil Pressure Is Good And It Dosent Over Heat So Thats Good I Just Cant Figure Out What The Problem Is Also I Changed The Fuel Filter And Added Seafoam Thinking It Could B A Fuel Delivery Problem Still No Luck
It kind of sounds like a fuel pressure or volume problem. You are talking a 20 year old fuel pump if original, and if you have a cat converter on it it could be bad or even a fuel sensor. This can give you a starting point...
My Daughter Has A 1998 Ford Contour With 168000 Miles On It. Is It Worth $1,100 To Repair It?
The Car Is In Good Condition And She Loves It. It Needs A New Head Gasket And Possibly A New Head. The Leaking Gasket Has Caused The Car To Overheat And Chew Up The Timing Belt Put In 18 Months Ago. I Have Put New Tires, Battery And Brakes On This Car Since She Got It A Year Ago..
Two quick points is that it probably gets decent gas mileage and second that it doesn't have an "interference" type engine that would have been damaged when the belt slipped or broke (if this is her engine 2.0L 4-Cyl. (DOHC, VIN 3)) However, if it has the original automatic transmission, it will likely fail before 200,000 miles and you'll junk the car then. So my answer is if the rest of the car has received routine maintenance, to put the money into it and then cross your fingers until the transmission fails. Happy motoring!!
Is Auto Body Repair A Good Job?
Is This Job Considered Good, And What Is The Salary For This Job?
To be completely honest, I work in an auto body shop. I am not a body guy, I am a mechanic though. I see those guys do things that I would never imagine. It truly is a skill to be able to weld and form body panels back to their Original shape. The job is dirty. There is a lot of dust in the shop from the sanding and it is very noisy. When they have to straighten frames, the machines only go up about waist high. So you will spend a lot of time on your knees doing frame work. Cuts are the norm as there is a lot of sharp metal edges on everything. The good news is that tools are nowhere as expensive as a mechanic's. You will still need the basics, but not a whole chest of testers and pressure gages. Don't expect to do that great starting out. As with any job in the auto industry, you will need to prove your worth. Get used to giving the tool trucks a decent percentage of your paychecks when you are new. And working with insurance companies... well you'll see. But the career can be very rewarding if you are willing to be dedicated. Some companies will treat you like scum and others will treat you good. You will do some jumping around at first until you get comfortable. Hope this helps.
Car Repairs Too High?
So My Clutch And My Transmission Are Getting Work Done. The Clutch Broke, And Tranny Had Been Acting Up. My Car Is Worth 1800-2700 Via Kelly Blue Book. Total Repairs Are Looking To Be Between 1800 And 2000. I Was Not In An Accident. Could This Be Plausable To Consider Totaling The Vehicle?
Ps...I Live In Pensylvania Usa
There are ways to get your car fixed cheaper, starting with a cheaper mechanic. The mechanic in my neighborhood was an old man willing to do repairs for half price compared to everyone else and he did very good work. Sometimes the local Community College or Adult Education Center will take in cars and repair them for free, except for the cost of parts. Sometimes the local junk yard (auto parts recycler) has these parts available at a very reasonable cost. They are used parts that are guaranteed to be good, so once you inquire about the needed parts, you can casually mention, oh by the way, do you know someone who could install these parts for me? And finally, the next option would be to learn how to do some auto repairs yourself. It is possible to take auto repair classes at the local Community College or Adult Education Center and while you are there suggest to the instructor that you bring in your car for repairs.
