Or Could I Have A Burned Valve, Or A Piston/Valve Collision, (Acording To Ford,Is Not An Interference Engine,[2.0 Liter] ) Any Suggestions≫?, I Almost Throwing My Towel, And Don'T Know What Can Be The Problem.. A stock Zetec is non-interference unless it's a SVT or has been modified (high lift cam). If the timing is way off, then you won't have compression, but it sounds like you are doing it right from what I can gather. I own 1989 Bronco II with a 2.9, std trans. I had a simular problem. I changed the pcv valve with a after market (std prod) and it ran like crap. I then replaced it with a FoMoCo valve and the problem deminished. It ended up being a defective Ignition coil. Renew it and all the issues went away. With early Fords, it is very important to use stock oem components when possible

I think the first generation Rio is derivitive of what Ford sold in the US badged as the Aspire.

The Ford Aspire was an appropriately named car. It aspired to be a real car but fell short.

The first Rio had it's share of problems. Electrical, head gasket, etc... Really no worse than an Escort, Cavalier, or Neon though.
