What To Know About Auto Repair It could be a very stressful situation when worrying about what company to choose
for your personal auto repair, but as long as you know how to make the process it may be quite simple. Every company will claim they may have the most effective mechanics and offer the lowest prices, but clearly that is certainly far from the truth. The easiest way to know that you will be receiving the best repair for that lowest price is usually to make time to do your research. The first task to finding the right clients are to look for the reviews that have been left by previous customers. Chances are that you possess more mechanics in your area than it is possible to count. It can be difficult to pick which companies to even compare with others. Choose a site that provides you the method to see their reviews at the general star level. From that point you must be able to get the top 10 companies in the area. Then you should take the time to browse the reviews which were left by their past clients. Understand that there definitely will probably be negative reviews, regardless how good the business is, however the vast majority must be positive. Search for negative reviews that share exactly the same issues, including having to bring their vehicle back in a brief period of time as it actually was not yet fixed. Any shop should e able to diagnose and correct a car or truck the first time. Through your initial set of 10 you will be able to narrow it down to 3 different companies that are the most beneficial. You can then call each and inquire if they are willing to give you a quotation free of cost. If they have made your best three list they will be over willing to accomplish this. That method for you to know what they think being the situation in addition to anything they think it would cost. Upon having quotes from all of 3 then you can decide who to use. It could be tempting to choose simply in accordance with the cost, so how they treat you must also be regarded as. Customer care is very important with regards to auto repair. When they are happy to explain everything to you personally and explain to you that they feel that you have value then they are truly enthusiastic about obtaining your business and keeping it. Consider every factor of your interaction prior to making a choice about which mechanic you imagine is most beneficial to service your car. Every auto mechanic will claim that they have the best costs, from parts to service, but to be honest which they all differ often. Spend some time to investigate how others have felt with regards to their service, what their pricing is and just how you personally felt whenever you visited their shop. This really is the easiest way to look for a quality auto repair center that can provide what you need and expectations.

How Much Does It Cost Replace Head Gasket On 91 Toyota Camry?
I Have A 91 Toyota Camry V6 For Four Door That Need Repair On Head Gasket Or Need To Be Replace. How Much Would U Think It Would Cost Top Ten Auto Repair in Kingman Directory ?
I've worked for a Jeep/Chrysler/Toyota dealer for twenty nine years now and there is no repairing the head gasket it must be replaced. Now if you got the engine too hot it may have a warped cylinder head as well. If it's just a blown head gasket my garage will charge between $700-$800 labor and about $125 for parts. If it needs some mill work done to the heads as well tack on about $300.00 more dollars. You're looking at about 1100-1200 at a Toyota dealership.
Now for what you should do. Find someone you know to do this that is either a reputable dealer mechanic or a knowledgeable trusted friend. If you lived in Central Illinois i would do it because thats what i do when not at the shop because people are coming to me left and right to avoid having to pay the dealers fees and labor. If i was to do this exact job you would be looking at 75-100 for the gasket and 50 percent labor of the dealership. That would bring you to about $500-600 dollars for a professionally trained tech to do this job. Any more and your getting robbed and any less the person doing it doesnt probably know what theyre doing. All my labor and parts info was directly from our Dealership labor/parts program. Hope this answers your quiry. Top Ten Auto Repair in Kingman Directory
Cooling Problem On '79 Ford Bronco Bbf 10 Best Auto Repair in Kingman Directory ?
Actually This Isn'T Really A Cooling Problem, More Like A Coolant Problem. Under Normal Operating Temperature My Radiator Pukes About A Gallon Of Anti Freeze If I Get On The Gas. I Have Replaced The Following To Try And Fix This. Water Pump, And Backing Plate, Thermostat (With A 180), And All Hoses. Can Anyone Point Me In The Right Direction Here? I Was Told When I Rebuilt My Engine I May Have Put The Heads On The Wrong Sides And This Could Be Partially Blocking Water Jackets, I Really Do Not Want To Take My Engine Apart Again So Any Information Would Be Nice. Oh And The Engine Is A Built Up 429 Thunderjet With A Pretty Rank Cam And .30 Over Pistons.
make sure you have a spring loaded radiator cap that meets the specks for your vehicle. the cap opens at certain pressures [usually above boiling] and releases coolant into the over flow tank and later the coolant is sucked back into the radiator. this is normal. installing a lower t-stat will usually enhance the problem because the coolant will not stay in the radiator long enough to transfer away the heat properly. it could be other things causing the problem, and the heads are the same so don't worry about that statement. any time you bore a motor you thin the cylinder walls allowing more heat to enter the cooling system. this can be a big problem in high performance engines so that's why the parts boys sell high dollar aluminum radiators. anyway good luck on solving the up chucking ford. by the way is that the original motor? how about the radiator Most Popular Auto Repair in Kingman Directory ?
Do I Need A Business Degree To Start A Business?
A Small Automotive Repair Garage.
NO. Absolutely not.
A degree would be a waste. I recommend reading some books on starting, operating and marketing a business though. I also recommend that you work in a business similar to the one you want to open and work in it at least a year to make sure that's what you want to do.

Get My Car Repaired Or Replaced?
Should I Replace My Car Repaired Or Replaced It For A New One? It Has 160,000Mi. It A 1998 Sebring. It Leaks Oil. It Also Won'T Pass Inspection. It Has To Get Hood Replaced And Windshield. Also Wheels Alignment. The Car I Will Be Getting Is Used And Reliable And Good Mileage. Or Invest I'M Another Car? Then I Will Have Payments Monthly.
A Sebring is a beautiful car, especially the convertibles. Most professionals that I talk to call it a POS. That stand for Piece Of Sh*t. Chrysler dealers don't agree. What a surprise.
Additional: I'm totally confused by the next two other answers. Where did the figure of $100 for an engine exchange come from? That number is way, way wrong, but it wasn't in the question at all. Another answer also quoted prices. I don't see any prices in the question. Am I not seeing something that is there? Even the $1200 for an engine exchange seems extremely low.
Also, the engine was just one of the many problems with this car. Since it is a Sebring, and the post said it has other things wrong, it is going to cost more than just an engine. Based on what was listed, several hundred dollars at the very least.
What Type Of Car Is Best Overall? Only Want To Pay $3000?
Im In The Market For A New Car. I Dont Know Alot Mechanically Or Technically So I Thought I Would Ask. I Need A Car That Doesnt Need Alot Of Work In General. Something That Is Pretty Self-Sufficient And Long Lasting. I Only Want To Spend 3000. What Type Of Car Is A Good Long-Lasting Car. I'Ve Heard Stuff About Foreign Vs. American.. Which Is Better?
Both foreign and domestic cars are good some people are just ignorant when it comes to cars. Personally I drive a 93 Pontiac Grand Prix I've had the car for 5 years and I 've never had any problems with it. I got the car for 1,500 and it had at the time 130,000 miles on it and it now has over 175,000 and it still runs great and I don't baby it. As for older cars don't get any old Japanese car's from the late 80's to early 90's they all have body rot problems and also the electrical connector's are maid from natural rubber which over time dries out and allows water to seep into the electrical connectors and this causes engine and tranny problems. GM and Fords use synthetic rubber on their electrical plugs so you don't have to worry about the gaskets roting away. Also older Toyota's had head gasket problems with the V6 car's and trucks including the camry and Various lexus models with the 2.5L and 3.0L V6. Older Honda's are good cars they really don't have any faults except for body rot the same goes for older Nissan's. As for American cars they have their problems to for example older Thunder birds and Cougars had a problem with the plastic retainer that holds on the trannys kick down cable can break off and cause damage to the tranny how ever if the problem is caught before it happens than it will only cost you $4 dollars to fix it your self. Also ford old 3.8L V6 had head gasket problems they would blow at low mileage. GM's only fault from the 90's was the 3.4L Twin Duel Cam V6 wich was thier first attempt at an DOHC V6 its a good engine but not very easy to work on so repair cost are high but not many cars had this engine so don't worry about coming across one. As for Crysler well lets just say the 90's was not their decade.
What Can I Do About My Toyota '98 Camry?
My Car Has A Loooot Of Problems, But Luckily, They Are All Small.
I Want To Fix All Of Them But A Lot Of The Parts Are Only Sold In Junkyards. Where Can I Get Everything Fixed? Can I Just Go To Any Gas Station Or Garage And Ask Them?
1) Almost All The Door Handles (Inside) Are Broken And Are Opened In A Weird Way.
2) You Can'T Lock The Doors Unless The Key Is In The Ignition (So Everyone Has To Get Out, Close, The Door, And Then I Lock It And Then Take The Key Out And Get Off, And Lock My Own Door With The Key, I Can'T Lock All Of Them)
3) I Replaced The Roof Light In The Car But It Stlil Doesn'T Work
4) I Think There Might Be A Problem With The Radiator, Everytime I Fill It With Water I Come Back Later Seeing It Is Empty. The Car Used To Heat Up Every Time It Empties (It Is Leaking I Think) But Now It Doesn'T At All.
6) The Security Features Are Very Very Glitchy, The Car Goes Insane If I Even Touch The Remote.
7) The Stick For Changing (Its Automatic Though) Is Set With The Wrong Colors, So N Actually Goes In Drive. But The Speedometer Has One Working So I Don'T Need To Look At The Other One.
Sorry For Making This Long, I Just Don'T Have Any Clue What To Do And Where To Go. I'M Supposed To Go To The &Quot;Toyota Dealer&Quot; But I Don'T Want To Be Screwed Over. Thanks.
1. That's a common Camry problem. If you can find the parts (ebay?) a good local mechanic should be able to replace the latches. My friends 99 Camry has broken handles inside and out, its a crappy design.
2. and 6. Both sound related to a defective alarm system. Might have to take the car to an alarm/stereo installer and see if they can troubleshoot the problem for you. Consider removing the alarm completely.
3. Assuming you have the switch in the middle position, it might be a wiring problem or a bad housing. Probably needs to be replaced, get a used part from a junkyard or a dealer.
4. This is your most serious problem. You could have a head gasket failing or a cooling system leak somewhere. Again, a good local mechanic can inspect and diagnose. Find someone that specializes in Toyota.
7. Odd thing to break but as long as the shifter is working properly, you can hold off on this repair.
Search your area for Toyota specialist mechanics, or shops that only do Japanese imports. Most of those guys know the problem areas on Camrys and probably know how to fix them. Take your car in for an estimate and inspection. Talk to a couple of shops before deciding who to use.
Whats The Job Description Of An Auto Mechanic?
The auto mechanic diagnoses and effects repairs on all kinds of mechanical devices on automobiles. This entails mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical. You must also be able to work on performance and emission systems within the scope of the job.
Not related to what you ask, but it is sad that in todays world mechanics do more parts replacing than item repair. Back in the day we'd take things apart and repair them then put em back. Todays components are simply pull it off and throw it away and put on a new one.
Good luck in your ventures.
