So My 1993 Toyota 4Runner Has Been Running Rough For A Couple Days. Drove It Yesterday And Noticed It Was Overheating. Turned It Off And Had It Towed Home. I Filled It Up With Coolant (It Had All Leaked Out) And Checked The Rest Of The Fluids (No Water In The Oil). But Now It Wont Start It Just Cranks And Barely Fires. What May Be The Issue And What Should I Check.

really, you need to determine how you lost all that coolant first. prolly point to the cause of the issue.
me thinks you should suspect the worst.
pull plugs and see if they are fouled. prolly water foul. despite no water in oil. that would point to a water jacket/combustion chamber sealing issue for what ever reason.
at the onset, there maybe no signs of cross contamination of fluids and still have a bad head gasket.
i think you caught this relatively early. but if it is a head gasket, and this is a 3VZE V6, set some extra bucks aside for new timing belt and water pump. as the procedure for doing a head gasket will have those items exposed.
if this is a 22RE I4, get the timing chain assem inspected as well.

You do not have to go to the DMV and you do not need a copy of the certificate. You do have to complete the registration process, but you can do it online. You do need to pay the registration fee to the DMV, but you can do that online also.

Locate and clean out your IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE. It is near your throttle body. Use Gum-out spray, or AMSOIL foaming cleaner, if you can find it. Hopefully, this car has genuine TOYOTA coolant and not local parts store, green stuff. Over time, this coolant will eat holes through the head gasket and the aluminum alloy in the cylinder head, causing rough idling problems. You did the right thing by using a fuel injector cleaner (Techron is the best). Hopefully, you used NGK or DENSO spark plugs, and not el cheapos from the local auto parts store. Replacing wires and cap and rotor may have been a waste of money. If your distributor is mounted on the side of the engine (cam driven) remove the cap and rotor and spray the inside of it with brake cleaner. This will dislodge any oil sludge that may have wandered inside, a common trouble on these cars.This will stabilize the ignition. The burning smell that disappeared might mean that your alternator bearings or regulator are beginning to burn up. Get a free charging system test at AutoZone. Power wash your engine, especially around the battery terminals, and where they connect to the starter and chassis. Good luck!!

Now, My Brother Has A 1997 Toyota Camry 2.2 L 4 Cyl. And I Want To Full Overhaul It From The Cams All The Way Down To The Crank. How Much Would All The Parts Cost Such As Bearings, Rings All The Seals Etc. .. I Just Need An Estimate

1995 Ford Contour Still Won'T Start?
I'M Stumped. I Have A 1995 Ford Contour Which Will Crank But Not Start. I Have Tried Re-Timing It, Using Starting Fluid, Checked For Spark, Installed New Spark Plugs, Checked Compression, Fuel Pump Primes With Good Pressure, Nothing Seems Bad. Compression Is As Follows:
3- 65Psi (The Bad One)
4- 80Psi (The Other Bad One)
These Were Done With The Engine Cold, At Wide Open Throttle And Spark Plugs All Removed.
I Put A New Head Gasket In It, So It'S Probably Just Blow By Causing The Low Compression. But It Still Should Start. Especially With Starting Fluid.
It Ran Before The Head Gasket Went Out, Sat For 5 Months, Now After A New Gasket, Won'T Run.
Timing Is Dead On. I Have Checked It 5 Times, Advanced It, Retarded It, Set It Dead On Too.
It Does Sputter Like It Wants To Start, But Only With The Throttle Wide Open. I Removed The Fuel Pump Relay, And Tried Starting It With Starting Fluid Only Also But It Just Sputters. So It'S Not Flooded Either. The Cylinder Looks Wet But Only After Reinstalling The Relay.
It Seems Like Timing, But It'S Dead On. (I Replaced The Head Gasket 11Mos Ago Too And It Ran Fine.

Double check that the Cam is in the correct position. Your crank timing might be on, but if the cam is even just one tooth off it can cause the motor to not run.
