FAQ's Auto Repair

1996 Saturn... Problems Help!! Radiator Level Goes Down?
But There Is Nothing In The Oil.. Such As Grey Slime And Tempature Runs Half Way.. I Dont Understand Saturn Motors.. Its A 4 Cycl. Over Head Cam And It Also Runs Ruff Like A Miss . Whats Going On Could It Still Me A Head Gasket? Even If The Oil Is Clean

Yes, it is very possible that you have a bad head gasket. When they go bad, they do not always cause coolant and oil to mix. Sometimes they break where the waterjacket (the coolant passages) is next to the combustion chamber (one or more cylinders). When this happens, you will notice the engine running roughly, and there will be coolant loss because it is going into the cylinder and coming out of the exhaust. If you do have a bad head gasket, my best advice to you would be to start looking for another car. Saturns are not known for their durability and yours is already 12 years old. It would be more economical for you to buy a newer car. Look into Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. They are very dependable and well known for their durability.

If he has a smog certificate, and his registration fees are due and or late, let this lazy dope pay his own penalty fees for being late, not to mention 2 years from now, that car is a BIG PROBLEM WITH OUT PASSING SMOG. it is possible to get a car smugged, that will not pass for extra money, but why? do not buy someone Else's problem, if people do not clear up their registration issues, when I am ready to buy a used car, I walk away, and wait another day to find a good used car that is not a problem already, my advice is to let that idiot keep his non smoggable car good luck

How Can I Find An Honest Auto Mechanic?
How Can I Find An Honest Auto Mechanic? How Do I Know I Am Being Treated Fairly And They Are Not Overcharging Me?

Do you know any family members who are mechanics. If not your going to have to do a little foot or phone work. ask for references.
Don't always go to the place that's the busiest that's not always the best indicator. If you are a lady bring a man with you to the shop and before they touch your car get an estimate, some places will charge you 100,00 just to put in on a machine. If you have an auto zone you can always get the counter person to "code " your car for free. Then you at least have something to go on as far as what the repairs should be .
If you know what needs to be done , then shop around , the least expensive does not always mean the place is uneducated or non trustworthy. In addition to doing a little home work check and make sure they have a warranty that not only covers the parts but the labor as well, that way you have a couple options to work with. And you can also use the " well this place said that it would cost me only this much " phrase. The majority of a repair bill for an auto is "labor". It doesnt matter the cost of the part weather its a 2 dollar seal or an engine over haul be prepared to spend a lot on labor .
Personally I do all my mechanical work . Just because I know how some shops operate.

Why Were The 9/11 &Quot;Black Boxes&Quot; Denied To Have Been Found ?
A Little &Quot;Old News&Quot; - But Here It Is - &Quot; Two Men Who Worked Extensively In The Wreckage Of The World Trade Center Claim They Helped Federal Agents Find Three Of The Four “Black Boxes” From The Jetliners That Struck The Towers On 9/11 - Contradicting The Official Account. Both The Independent 9/11 Commission And Federal Authorities Continue To Insist That None Of The Four Devices - A Cockpit Voice Recorder (Cvr) And Flight Data Recorder (Fdr) From The Two Planes - Were Ever Found In The Wreckage. But New York City Firefighter Nicholas Demasi Has Written In A Recent Book -- Self-Published By Several Ground Zero Workers -- That He Escorted Federal Agents On An All-Terrain Vehicle In October 2001 And Helped Them Locate Three Of The Four. His Account Is Supported By A Volunteer, Mike Bellone, Whose Efforts At Ground Zero Have Been Chronicled In The New York Times And Elsewhere. Bellone Said Assisted Demasi And The Agents And That Saw A Device That Resembling A “Black Box” In The Back Of The Firefighter’S Atv. Their Story Raises The Question Of Whether There Was A Some Type Of Cover-Up At Ground Zero. Federal Aviation Officials - Blaming The Massive Devastation - Have Said The World Trade Center Attacks Seem To Be The Only Major Jetliner Crashes In Which The Critical Devices Were Never Located. A Footnote To The 9/11 Commission Report Issued This Summer Flatly States: “The Cvrs And Fdrs From American 11 And United 175” - The Two Planes That Hit The Trade Center - “Were Not Found.” Next - The Boxes That Were Produced - Had No Serial Numbers In Them. This Is Unprecidented. If There Is Nothing To Hide - Then Why All The Secrecy ? Anything That Is Produced As &Quot; The Official Cabin Tapes&Quot; - Is Certainly Not Believable Now.

World Trade Center 7 had no logical reason to plummit. Former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura has remarked that WTC 7 appeared to be an intentional demolition. I agree.

The media is controlled by the government. The government is controlled by the New World Order. Of course they're going to suppress any information that would suggest that 9/11 was indeed a conspiracy.

Thanks For The Help If Any..

being a mechanic could be a good one ,because cars are going to be mostly electrical in a few years or more,so this job will require more electrical skills, but with modern day technology they keep making better tools to use,so the job will get easier as time goes on,it would still be up to you,but its s good thing to get in to,as long as theirs some form of a car on the road you would have a job, which is more than i can say for some careers people have chosen, think about it before you decide though,it can be hard at times, and there have been days when i wished i had chosen something else to do in life, but you,ll have days like this with anything, good luck with it.
