How Much Does It Cost Replace Head Gasket On 91 Toyota Camry?
I Have A 91 Toyota Camry V6 For Four Door That Need Repair On Head Gasket Or Need To Be Replace. How Much Would U Think It Would Cost Best Ten Oil Change in Kingman Directory ?

I've worked for a Jeep/Chrysler/Toyota dealer for twenty nine years now and there is no repairing the head gasket it must be replaced. Now if you got the engine too hot it may have a warped cylinder head as well. If it's just a blown head gasket my garage will charge between $700-$800 labor and about $125 for parts. If it needs some mill work done to the heads as well tack on about $300.00 more dollars. You're looking at about 1100-1200 at a Toyota dealership.
Now for what you should do. Find someone you know to do this that is either a reputable dealer mechanic or a knowledgeable trusted friend. If you lived in Central Illinois i would do it because thats what i do when not at the shop because people are coming to me left and right to avoid having to pay the dealers fees and labor. If i was to do this exact job you would be looking at 75-100 for the gasket and 50 percent labor of the dealership. That would bring you to about $500-600 dollars for a professionally trained tech to do this job. Any more and your getting robbed and any less the person doing it doesnt probably know what theyre doing. All my labor and parts info was directly from our Dealership labor/parts program. Hope this answers your quiry. Most Popular Oil Change in Kingman Directory

Cooling Problem On '79 Ford Bronco Bbf Best Ten Oil Change in Kingman Directory ?
Actually This Isn'T Really A Cooling Problem, More Like A Coolant Problem. Under Normal Operating Temperature My Radiator Pukes About A Gallon Of Anti Freeze If I Get On The Gas. I Have Replaced The Following To Try And Fix This. Water Pump, And Backing Plate, Thermostat (With A 180), And All Hoses. Can Anyone Point Me In The Right Direction Here? I Was Told When I Rebuilt My Engine I May Have Put The Heads On The Wrong Sides And This Could Be Partially Blocking Water Jackets, I Really Do Not Want To Take My Engine Apart Again So Any Information Would Be Nice. Oh And The Engine Is A Built Up 429 Thunderjet With A Pretty Rank Cam And .30 Over Pistons.

make sure you have a spring loaded radiator cap that meets the specks for your vehicle. the cap opens at certain pressures [usually above boiling] and releases coolant into the over flow tank and later the coolant is sucked back into the radiator. this is normal. installing a lower t-stat will usually enhance the problem because the coolant will not stay in the radiator long enough to transfer away the heat properly. it could be other things causing the problem, and the heads are the same so don't worry about that statement. any time you bore a motor you thin the cylinder walls allowing more heat to enter the cooling system. this can be a big problem in high performance engines so that's why the parts boys sell high dollar aluminum radiators. anyway good luck on solving the up chucking ford. by the way is that the original motor? how about the radiator Top Ten Oil Change in Kingman Directory ?

96 Toyota Camry Head Gasket Problem.?
Took Car To Mechanic Since It Was Stalling When Idling, As Soon As I Got To Mechanic, It Completely Died. So They Said It Was A Water Pump Problem And Estimated Cost Of $650. I Gave Them The Go Ahead To Fix It. So Then They Fix It And Now Are Telling Me That I Have Bigger Problems, That My Head Gasket Is Blown And That It Needs To Be Replaced For An Additional $1500. I Guess I'M Obligated To Pay The $650 But I Still Havent Decided What To Do About The Head Gasket Problem. They Say Car Won'T Last 2000-3000 Miles With Out The Job. I Read About Thermogasket Which Claims Can Fix Blown Gaskets And It'S Only $100 But I'M Pretty Skeptical. I'Ve Also Read Somewhere Else That It Might Be Cheaper Just To Get The Whole Engine Replaced. Is This True? Car Has About 103K Miles On It Right Now And Mechanic Claims With The Fix It Could Go To Over 200K, But I'M Not Sure If It'S Worth It. I'M Also Pissed They Wait Till After Fixing The Pump To Tell Me About The Bigger Gasket Problem...

for the money they want you could get a newer engine.becareful of crate motors, they sometime are not made to usa specs and may have different mountings for things like smog pumps.aluminum heads can warp, then the car is trash.toyotas can easily go over 200,000, my 88 corolla died at 225,000.get estimates from everywhere before you decide.my head gasket blew and considering the mileage i just junked it.

1984 Ford Bronco Ii Over Heating...I Replaced The Water Pump And Thermostat Also Had Radiator Cooked Out?
I Can Remove The Upper Hose And There Is No Water In The Block

No liquid ? leak !
If you fill the radiator, and the coolant is gone, then logic would tell us you have a leak.
It might be a bad radiator cap, not holding pressure and the coolant is leaking past to the over flow bottle, head gasket leak, heater core leak, or one of the hoses.
Put a pressure test on the radiator and it should show where the leak is.
A stuck thermostat wil cause over heating, as will a intake manifold gasket resulting in the engine runnng too lean.

Can Oil Leak From A Head Gasket On My 1993 Toyota Camry?
Two Mechanics Looked At It: One Said It Was The Head Gasket The Other Said It Was A Valve.

oil leak from a Valve Cover is common on almost all cars. You get the gasket replaced and the oil leak stops.

however, a head gasket leak usually causes over heating, and car does not run very well. You will usually either have oil in coolant or coolant in the oil depending on what port the head gasket fails either a water port or oil port.

You would definitly have a major issue on the way the car runs and over heating if head gasket was bad.

good luck, I think from what you wrote you probably just have a valve cover gasket leaking.

How Long Does It Take To Change A Head Gasket On A 1997 Ford Contour?

Flat rate on a head gasket for this car is 7.9 hours for a 4 cylinder and 13.1 hours to do both head gaskets on a V6.

What Kind Of Car Should I Get For College? Help Please!?
My College Will Be Around 3 Hrs Away From My House And I Need A Good, Reliable Car. On A Daily Basis I Would Be Driving From My Apartment, To School, Work, Friends Places, Etc. My Parents Said My Limit Is Probably Around $12K. I Found A 2010 Hyndai Accent (4 Door, Power Everything) And A 2005 Honda Accord (Lx 2.4L 4 Door), Any Suggestions On These? Or Any Suggestions On Other Cars? I'M Looking For Okay To Really Good Gas Mileage, It'S Not That Big Of An Issue. Can Anyone Help Me Out? (Btw, The Hyundai Is $10K And The Honda Is $11K, Hyundai Mileage Is 44K And Honda'S Is 78K) Plus My Parents Want To Get Me A Car That Does Not Have High Miles, Maybe 60K Miles Down. And My Friends All Have Cobalts, Accords, Mustangs, Hhrs, Silverados, Jettas, Focus', So I Don'T Want To Drive The Lamest Car Out Of The Group. Thanks!

Don't go with the Hyundai accent (whatever you do, don't do that....especially if you will be driving 3 hours back and forth somewhat regylarly). Good cars in that price range would be the Nissan sentra, Nissan versa, a used but low mile Toyota Camry, a used but low mile Honda civic, or you can go for the Toyota tercel or corolla (or older models of the above listed brands). Another good dependable car is the Nissan maxima (you may be able to find an '05 or '06 in the $12k price range (these cars go forever though, just hit 300k on my wife's maxima). Please, please, please stay away from Mazda, Kia/Hyundai, and Isuzu brands. These brands are known for many issues including blowing head gaskets, premature body rot (depending on region you live in), transmission problems, and many other costly issues. Definitely go foreign for a good commuter type car. The Nissan versa sedan is surprisingly spacious in the trunk and would easily haul all of your luggage to and from home they are reliable and you can buy a brand new one for around $12k (it will be a base model but it's brand new).
