I Have A 86 Ford Bronco Ii With About 190,000 Miles And When I Started It Up Today, About 1/4 Cup Of Water/Coolant Came Out Of The Exhaust, But Then It Stopped After A Few Minutes. I Usually Know A Lot About Engines, But Could These Be Really Bad For My Motor?

Thanks Most Popular Automotive Technician in Lake Havasu Directory
if its coolant and not condensation, then it probably means your head gasket is bad or head cracked and coolant is seeping into your combustion chamber. once the engine is running and gets hot it will evap the liquid so it will appear that it has stopped coming from your exhaust. and yes it is bad for your engine. also it could cause overheating Top Ten Automotive Technician in Lake Havasu Directory
Dor A First Time Driver What Is The Best And Nicest Cheap Car I Should Get Best Ten Automotive Technician in Lake Havasu Directory?
Used or new? What size are you? Good somewhat cheap cars would be the Nissan sentra, Nissan versa, Toyota camry, Honda civic, ford focus (these are cheap and reliable but have to be meticulously maintained and driven lightly, head gaskets are a common issue with these), if you want a good used car go for an older pontiac grand am (I have always had good luck with these cars with little to no issues), Chevy cavalier, toyota corolla or Camry, Nissan maxima, Acura integra, vigor, or tl, Honda civic or accord. Your best bet is to go foreign for your first car. They usually don't require as much maintenance as domestic brands. Stay away from Isuzu, Mazda, and Hyundai/Kia (these brands will cost you tons of time and money....some of them are good cars but why take the chance on getting a clunker). Most Popular Automotive Technician in Lake Havasu Directory If you're buying used make sure you get a carfax report to make sure the car has never been in an accident or had any major repairs and try to find a car with less than 100k miles on it. Up to 120k is ok on a newer toyota, nissan, or Honda brand.
Why Is My 99 Nissan Sentra Gxe Losing Coolant?
My Car Is Losing Alot Of Coolant. I Have Had It Pressure Tested 4 Times. Twice While The Engine Was Hot And Twice While It Was Cold. Nissan Did The First 2. It Didn'T Show In Any Of Them. Nissan Told Me I Needed A New Head Gasket. I Took It To The Place I Got My Car From And They Tested It Over Night And Said It Didn'T Lose Pressure The Whole Night. It'S Not Leaking Into The &Quot;Heater Core&Quot; Either. It'S Using About A Gallon Of Coolant A Month. I Dont Know What Else To Do But I Dont Want It To Get Worse. Most Popular Automotive Technician in Lake Havasu Directory I Had Them Flush The Coolant And Replace All The Hoses. They Also Put Head Gasket Stop Leak To See What Happens But I Only Drove About 30 Miles And Checked It And It Still Seems That It Used More Than It Should...Where Could It Be Going?

White Smoke Coming Out Of Muffler??Head Or Valve Gasket Blown??
What Does It Mean When White Smoke Comes Out Of Your Exhaust Pipe?? Is It A Blown Head Or Head Gasket Blown Or Could It Be A Valve Gasket Blown?? Its For A Ford Contour 1996 Top Ten Automotive Technician in Lake Havasu Directory??
That would most likely be a bad head gasket. A bad valve cover gasket would leak and run down the sides of the engine whereas a bad head gasket could actually leak anti freeze into the cylinders of your engine and be burned and come out the exhaust pipe causing the white smoke that you are seeing. Car Dealers Auto Mechanics?
Want To Know What The Setup Is, The Pay Practices Of Certified Mechanics Doing Car Repairs At New Car Dealerships. Do They Just Earn An Hourly Wage, A Set Wage? Or Do They Get Incentive Pay, Like A Bonus For Selling More Parts And Services?
I'Ve Heard Some Small Car Repair Shops Do Something Called ' Tab '. Best Ten Automotive Technician in Lake Havasu Directory They Try To Find Other Things Wrong With Your Car When You Bring It To Them For A Repair And They Pad The Bill - Therefore The Mechanic Makes A Bonus.
Mechanics generally get paid by the Job... Thus if the book says it takes 1 hour to do the job the Mechanic gets $.$$ for that hour of labor. If he can finish in 45 minutes and start another job then he gets to keep the extra. They ALSO generally get paid a co mission on Parts. And the commission depends on the shop, how good they are, and if it was the original job or something they found afterwords. The big question is not the Mechanic doing the work at the dealer its the person standing between you and the mechanic they call the service writer (who may or may not have any mechanic experience--- I know of a salesman becoming a service writer) they are paid the big bucks to upsell you on the extras like a tranny or coolant flush, tire rotation etc etc. Best Ten Automotive Technician in Lake Havasu Directory
But I agree with the writer....When you find a mechanic you like and trust STAY WITH them... a Good mechanic will want your return business more then they want to upsell you on some added service this trip. Top Ten Automotive Technician in Lake Havasu Directory
White Smoke (Muffler)?
I Have A 98 Ford Contour It'S I Did A Bad Oil Change...Then I Fixed It. Im Got A Ton Of White Smoke?
Whenever I Drive I Get Alot Of White Smoke. When I Did The Bad Oil Change (Wrong Oil And Filter) I Drove Down One Block Then It Stalled Out. But Im Really Confused Now. And There Is This Clear Liquid Leaking From The Muffler I Have A Job Interview Today So Any Advise Would Be Great.
Btw There Are And Were No Abnormal Noises
Ok, what you did when you put in the wrong size oil filter and used the wrong grade of oil was built up too much compression in your cylinders and it blew you head gasket. If you want to make it to your interview today you'll need to do a couple of things.
Go to your local autozone and get the proper oil filter and oil for you car. 5w30 oil. Find your oil filter with this link http://tinyurl.com/ynpp9v. Get something like thermorepair or some kind of head gasket quick fix and some antifreeze and radiator stop leak. Get the 50/50 radiator fluid, it's a couple of buck more but you're in a rush and don't have time to mix it!
Now go back to your car. If you are broken down in an urban area push your car over a sewer drain. If you're rural than just be careful who's around when you do the following:
1.) Drain your oil, (on the ground or in the sewer drain) take off the wrong filter you installed and throw it somewhere, you don't want that oily crap in your car. Put the proper one on. Put in 4-5 quarts of new oil depending on your engine size.
2.) Drain your antifreeze, (on the ground or in the sewer drain). Remember to be cool and don't look like you doing anything suspicious, people frown on dumping oil and antifreeze all over the place.
3.) Add the stop leak head gasket stuff to your motor.
4.) Run you motor for a little bit to get all of the antifreeze out of your system, then close the radiator drain.
5.) Now fill your radiator with the coolant, start your car and continue to fill the radiator with more coolant (antifreeze) & the radiator stopleak untill it's full, be sure to fill your overflow tank too.
6.) GET THE HELL OUTTA THERE. You gotta drive like an ****** to get all of that crap mixed up in your motor anyway!
Clean up and go to your interview.
After your interview stop back at your local autoparts store and get some of the smoke treatment stuff. Now you can sell your car on craigslist to some sucker!!!

What Is &Quot;Faith-Based&Quot; Automotive Repair?
I Had Some Problems With My Old Car, The Alternator, And The Mechanic Said He Would Use His Faith In That Jesus Guy To Find The Problem.
Heal thy car Jesus! Cast electrons into thy battery! Cause air and fuel to mix! You know it is quite a different guy that casts fire into air and smoke out exhaust. You make that pact with the devil every time combustion causes pistons to move. Heat and brimstone smell out the exhaust. Devil of a time paying off the car, And you damn almighty every time you have a flat or car won't start. Right!
Faith based auto repair! What ever floats that mechanics boat. God has granted my with almost X-Ray vision Just by listening I can see how many pistons there are and all the parts and how they work. From childhood I have taken things apart and put them back tougher again
Why Car Can Transfer Without Smog Check?
I Sold My Car Last Month With Smog Check Done At May (5 Months Between May To October)
I Went To Dmv With Buyer And Transfer Success.(But Registration Shows Something Like Temporary And Need Pass Smog Check In 60 Days)
Dmv Staff Told Me The Car Is Under Buyer'S Name. Is It Means Transfer Success?
I'M In California
And After 20-25 Days Later. Buyer Come To Me Because Smog Check Failed. I Still Have Response For Him? Or What?
If Yes. The Transfer Already Success. And Why I Can Transfer Car Without Smog Check?
If No. Tell Me Why Pls!!!
CA requires the SELLER to get the car smog certified. You can be held to pay for getting the car repaired required to return the buyer's money. You can transfer ownership of the car, but the buyer can't get it registered until you provide the smog certification (which you should have done before selling the car). The smog certification must be done within 90 days prior to the sale.
Transfer of ownership is completely separate from registration. And yes, the registration is temporary until you provide the smog certification. It's probably been 30 days since the car was sold, so that's why you have 60 days left.
Very old cars, electric and hybrids don't need certification as well as certain other types of transfers.
