Options To Consider About Auto Repair It may be a very stressful situation when worrying about what company to select
for your auto repair, but so long as you know how to go about the method it may be really simple. Every company will claim they may have the most effective mechanics and offer the cheapest prices, but clearly that is certainly incorrect. The easiest way to know that you are currently receiving the best repair to the lowest price is usually to spend some time to seek information. Step one to finding the best clients are to look for the reviews that were left by previous customers. Most likely you possess more mechanics in your area than you can count. It can be hard to pick which companies to even compare with others. Locate a site that offers the solution to see their reviews at the general star level. Following that you must be able to get the top 10 companies in your neighborhood. Then you should make time to read the reviews which have been left by their past clients. Understand that there definitely will be negative reviews, no matter how good the company is, although the vast majority must be positive. Seek out negative reviews that share exactly the same issues, for example being forced to bring their vehicle back a short length of time since it actually had not been yet fixed. Any shop should e able to diagnose and repair a car or truck the first time. From your initial set of 10 you should be able to narrow it down to 3 different companies that are the most effective. Then you can call each and ask when they are willing to offer you an insurance quote free of cost. When they have made your top three list they must be more than willing to achieve this. That method for you to know what they think to become the issue along with the things they think it would cost. Upon having quotes from all of 3 after that you can decide who to work with. It could be tempting to determine simply depending on the cost, but how they treat you should also be considered. Customer support is very important in terms of auto repair. If they are willing to explain everything for your needs and show you which they feel that you may have value they then are truly enthusiastic about obtaining your company and keeping it. Consider every factor of your interaction before making a choice about which mechanic you think is advisable to service your automobile. Every auto mechanic will claim that they have the best costs, from parts to service, but the reality is that they all differ often. Spend some time to investigate how others have felt regarding their service, what their prices are and just how you personally felt once you visited their shop. This really is the easiest way to get a quality auto repair center which will suit your needs and expectations.

How Much Does It Cost Replace Head Gasket On 91 Toyota Camry?
I Have A 91 Toyota Camry V6 For Four Door That Need Repair On Head Gasket Or Need To Be Replace. How Much Would U Think It Would Cost Top Ten Repair in Lake Havasu Directory ?
I've worked for a Jeep/Chrysler/Toyota dealer for twenty nine years now and there is no repairing the head gasket it must be replaced. Now if you got the engine too hot it may have a warped cylinder head as well. If it's just a blown head gasket my garage will charge between $700-$800 labor and about $125 for parts. If it needs some mill work done to the heads as well tack on about $300.00 more dollars. You're looking at about 1100-1200 at a Toyota dealership.
Now for what you should do. Find someone you know to do this that is either a reputable dealer mechanic or a knowledgeable trusted friend. If you lived in Central Illinois i would do it because thats what i do when not at the shop because people are coming to me left and right to avoid having to pay the dealers fees and labor. If i was to do this exact job you would be looking at 75-100 for the gasket and 50 percent labor of the dealership. That would bring you to about $500-600 dollars for a professionally trained tech to do this job. Any more and your getting robbed and any less the person doing it doesnt probably know what theyre doing. All my labor and parts info was directly from our Dealership labor/parts program. Hope this answers your quiry. 10 Best Repair in Lake Havasu Directory
Cooling Problem On '79 Ford Bronco Bbf 10 Best Repair in Lake Havasu Directory ?
Actually This Isn'T Really A Cooling Problem, More Like A Coolant Problem. Under Normal Operating Temperature My Radiator Pukes About A Gallon Of Anti Freeze If I Get On The Gas. I Have Replaced The Following To Try And Fix This. Water Pump, And Backing Plate, Thermostat (With A 180), And All Hoses. Can Anyone Point Me In The Right Direction Here? I Was Told When I Rebuilt My Engine I May Have Put The Heads On The Wrong Sides And This Could Be Partially Blocking Water Jackets, I Really Do Not Want To Take My Engine Apart Again So Any Information Would Be Nice. Oh And The Engine Is A Built Up 429 Thunderjet With A Pretty Rank Cam And .30 Over Pistons.
make sure you have a spring loaded radiator cap that meets the specks for your vehicle. the cap opens at certain pressures [usually above boiling] and releases coolant into the over flow tank and later the coolant is sucked back into the radiator. this is normal. installing a lower t-stat will usually enhance the problem because the coolant will not stay in the radiator long enough to transfer away the heat properly. it could be other things causing the problem, and the heads are the same so don't worry about that statement. any time you bore a motor you thin the cylinder walls allowing more heat to enter the cooling system. this can be a big problem in high performance engines so that's why the parts boys sell high dollar aluminum radiators. anyway good luck on solving the up chucking ford. by the way is that the original motor? how about the radiator Most Popular Repair in Lake Havasu Directory ?

1998 Jeep Cherokee Xj Or A 1998 Toyota 4Runner?
I'Ve Always Been A Jeep Guy. I Don'T Know Why. I Love Wranglers And I Currently Have A 94 Jeep Cherokee With A Blown Head Gasket So I Need A New Vehicle.
Which Is The Better Buy? I Really Like Toyota'S Reliability But The Jeep Is Just Cheaper And Has Less Miles Than The 4Runner.
The Cherokee Has 189K Miles While The 4Runner Has 242K Miles. Cherokee Has Inline 6 While 4Runner Has 3.4. Both Are Automatics And Drive Good. Idk What To Get!!!
Toyota It should keep running for longer than the Jeep
1988 Toyota Supra Why Does My Water Run Hot?
I Have A 1988 Toyota Supra And It Runs Hot Even Though There Was Water In The Radiator, I Can Hear Water In My Dash Making Water Fall Sounds
It Also Was Steaming At The Dash And Not At The Radiator I Only Drove A Mile And It Got Hot
MkIII 1987 to 1991 Supras are known for blowing a head gasket. Here's what you can do to properly diagnose the problem.
1. If there is gray smoke or steam out the tailpipe, AND your water level in your radiator is low, you have a head gasket problem.
You indicated there seems to be water sloshing around in the dash with steam coming out.
This tells me you also have a defective heater core..
I would also recommend changing the thermostat AND fan clutch when you do these repairs. Typically the 3.0 engine is good for 500K miles without a rebuild if properly maintained. I have an 1984 with 250k on it ( same engine design) and it goes on long trips every year. If you do these thing along with a good tuneup, you can expect a long life out of the engine
1991 Camry Still Overheat After Replaced Head Gasket And ...?
This Related To My Previous Question About 1991 Camry Overheat Problem. After Replaced Head Gasket, Torque To Spec, The Car Is Still Overheat. Timing To Spec, Super Flush Twice, Both Fans Wrok. If I Turn On The Heater, Then, Temperature Will Return To Normal...But, Outside Right Now Is 90+ Degree...Not Very Pleasent. Water Pump/Radiator/Thermostat Are New. It Will Overheat When I Started Driving The Car About 10 Minutes...If Started And Let It Idle, Then, It Seems Would Not. It Is A Puzzle To Me.
Remove the radiator cap when the motor's cold. The coolant should be at the top.
Make sure the hose is free of obstructions from the radiator to the coolant recovery tank.
If your radiator is not filled to the very top with coolant while cold try this little trick to see if you have a combustion leak in your cooling system. Remove the radiator cap. start the car and wait till the coolant circulates in the radiator. If the coolant starts to circulate replace the radiator cap with a Toyota pressure cap. It may be time for a new radiator if problems persist.
If you still have cooling problems have your cooling system pressure checked ant any independent garage or your Toyota dealer.
If the pressure bleeds off suspect the cylinder block and or cylinder head for flatness.
Supposedly, Toyota brand antifreeze has a stop leak additive built in, so I was told at my Toyota dealer.
Has Anyone Been Stationed At Naval Base Ventura County Point Mugu For Work On P-3 Aircraft?
Just Wondering What It'S Like And What Type Of Work You Did. Did You Like Being Stationed There? What Areas Near Base Would You Recommend Living At?
Oh And If Marine5 See'S This Question, Let Me Just Tell You That You'Re A Dumba**. Last Time You Answered A Question Of Mine, You Took It Upon Yourself To Call Me A Dumba** For Saying I Released Opsec Information When I Very Well Didn'T. I Got All My Information From Wikipedia You Dumb Old Retired Fart!!! Next Time You Come Up With An Answer, Make Sure It'S Valid You Stupid Douche! You'Re In The Wrong, Not Me!
Can't answer about maintenance work on the P-3, but I can address aircraft maintenance work on military aircraft in general and familar with the Pt Mugu area - been there several times and have friends who own a house there.
Maintenance of aircraft is pretty much the same regardless of the aircraft type. If you are work in power plants (P-3s are recip engines), it is no different than working on a C-130 - also recip. If you are hydraulics - no different than any other aircraft since all military aircraft use hydraulics systems. P-3 little tougher than C-130s since the cabin area is heavily insulated and it's a pain to pull and replace the insulation (been in a couple of P-3s over the years). Electronics and avionics are pretty easy since the majority of the black boxes are remove and replace. The hardest part is cleaning the cannon plugs of preservative and putting new potting compound back on the cannon plug to seal from moisture. Airframes - well that is much tougher since the bird is pretty big and high off of the ground. The Navy has maintenance stands that allow the maintainer to access the vertical stablizer to make repairs as well as the wing and other parts of the fuselage (ditto for those who work on fuel cells and fuel lines). Nice bird - hopefully you will get a chance to fly in it.
About Pt Mugu: You didn't mentioned if you are married or not. If you are, there are a lot of rental of apartments and a few homes for rent around the base. From what I saw, they were well kept (can't speak about the inside). Purchase of a house if very, very expensive in that area and probably not an option for you. Base housing is available but is older. They were supposed to renovate them about 10 years ago, but not sure if it happened. If available, you will likely be "required" to live on base with your spouse/family. Doubt this policy has changed.
If single, the base had plenty of BEQs and you will likely be required to stay in the BEQ. They are not new, but not all that bad - been in male quarters once but not female quarters which are usually 50% better than males. You don't get a choice of where on base you live, you will be assigned to a BEQ that falls under your assigned squadron. As you know, if you don't already, Pt Mugu is a Naval Missile and Surface Ship test base.
There are many nice resturants in the surrounding area especially along US 1/101. Lots of beaches but the water is cold even in the summer due to the Japanese current to flows from Alaska south to Mexico. There is a lot of cold fog because of it but when the fog clears, it is beautiful. You will be close to Santa Barbara and their beaches. To the north, take Hwy 1 through Malibu and drive along the cliffs to see great views of the Pacific ocean all the way to Montery Bay and Carmel. Made this trip a few times. Can get so foggy that you can't see 10 feet in front of you. More than one car has plunged 100 feet to the cliff bottom, so don't travel that way when fog is forecasted.
That's about it. Good question. Hopefully this helped you in your planning. If married, make a couple of phone calls to make a reservation at the Navy Lodge before you arrive - cheaper than town. Plenty of motels around the base, some very expensive and some not so bad.

How Much Does An Auto Mechanic Make A Year?
mechanic don't as much as you might think. usually about 30-40,000 a year on average. you will have to buy your own tools which is about 100,000 over time and during the summer the money is okay , but you need to learn how to save, because during the winters you wont make enough to pay all of your bills. most mechanics are by flat rate or straight commission. flat is usually about 20 dollars an hour when you actually working on a vehicle, if no car is in the shop you get paid nothing. straight commission is when you get a percentage of the work you did and this way usually will pay more but most shops wont pay that way. you must love working on cars to be a mechanic. if money is a factor then maybe consider a mechanic on big rigs and they much better.
