I Have A 86 Ford Bronco Ii With About 190,000 Miles And When I Started It Up Today, About 1/4 Cup Of Water/Coolant Came Out Of The Exhaust, But Then It Stopped After A Few Minutes. I Usually Know A Lot About Engines, But Could These Be Really Bad For My Motor?

if its coolant and not condensation, then it probably means your head gasket is bad or head cracked and coolant is seeping into your combustion chamber. once the engine is running and gets hot it will evap the liquid so it will appear that it has stopped coming from your exhaust. and yes it is bad for your engine. also it could cause overheating Most Popular Transmission Repair Cost in Lake Havasu Directory
Dor A First Time Driver What Is The Best And Nicest Cheap Car I Should Get Best Ten Transmission Repair Cost in Lake Havasu Directory?
Used or new? What size are you? Good somewhat cheap cars would be the Nissan sentra, Nissan versa, Toyota camry, Honda civic, ford focus (these are cheap and reliable but have to be meticulously maintained and driven lightly, head gaskets are a common issue with these), if you want a good used car go for an older pontiac grand am (I have always had good luck with these cars with little to no issues), Chevy cavalier, toyota corolla or Camry, Nissan maxima, Acura integra, vigor, or tl, Honda civic or accord. Your best bet is to go foreign for your first car. They usually don't require as much maintenance as domestic brands. Stay away from Isuzu, Mazda, and Hyundai/Kia (these brands will cost you tons of time and money....some of them are good cars but why take the chance on getting a clunker). Top Ten Transmission Repair Cost in Lake Havasu Directory If you're buying used make sure you get a carfax report to make sure the car has never been in an accident or had any major repairs and try to find a car with less than 100k miles on it. Up to 120k is ok on a newer toyota, nissan, or Honda brand.

It'S Not Leaking Into The &Quot;Heater Core&Quot; Either. It'S Using About A Gallon Of Coolant A Month. I Dont Know What Else To Do But I Dont Want It To Get Worse. White Smoke Coming Out Of Muffler??Head Or Valve Gasket Blown??
What Does It Mean When White Smoke Comes Out Of Your Exhaust Pipe?? Is It A Blown Head Or Head Gasket Blown Or Could It Be A Valve Gasket Blown?? Its For A Ford Contour 1996 Top Ten Transmission Repair Cost in Lake Havasu Directory??
That would most likely be a bad head gasket. A bad valve cover gasket would leak and run down the sides of the engine whereas a bad head gasket could actually leak anti freeze into the cylinders of your engine and be burned and come out the exhaust pipe causing the white smoke that you are seeing. Car Dealers Auto Mechanics?
Want To Know What The Setup Is, The Pay Practices Of Certified Mechanics Doing Car Repairs At New Car Dealerships. Do They Just Earn An Hourly Wage, A Set Wage? Or Do They Get Incentive Pay, Like A Bonus For Selling More Parts And Services?
I'Ve Heard Some Small Car Repair Shops Do Something Called ' Tab '. Most Popular Transmission Repair Cost in Lake Havasu Directory They Try To Find Other Things Wrong With Your Car When You Bring It To Them For A Repair And They Pad The Bill - Therefore The Mechanic Makes A Bonus.
Mechanics generally get paid by the Job... Thus if the book says it takes 1 hour to do the job the Mechanic gets $.$$ for that hour of labor. If he can finish in 45 minutes and start another job then he gets to keep the extra. They ALSO generally get paid a co mission on Parts. And the commission depends on the shop, how good they are, and if it was the original job or something they found afterwords. The big question is not the Mechanic doing the work at the dealer its the person standing between you and the mechanic they call the service writer (who may or may not have any mechanic experience--- I know of a salesman becoming a service writer) they are paid the big bucks to upsell you on the extras like a tranny or coolant flush, tire rotation etc etc. 10 Best Transmission Repair Cost in Lake Havasu Directory
But I agree with the writer....When you find a mechanic you like and trust STAY WITH them... a Good mechanic will want your return business more then they want to upsell you on some added service this trip. Most Popular Transmission Repair Cost in Lake Havasu Directory
Selling My Car, Had It Smog In August, Do I Need To Resmog It To Sell It.?
Had My Car Smog August 2006 To Get It Registered With Dmv, But I Have Decided To Sell My Car. Do I Have To Re-Smog It To Sell It? Or Is The Certificate Still Good?
A California smog certificate is good for 90 days. It is also the responsibility of the seller to smog the vehicle prior to change of title. The Calif DMV website contains this information.
It seems unfair that a vehicle that was recently smogged has to go through the test again! But that is the way it is.
California Smog Test?
My Car (Jetta 97) Got Check Engine Light On... They Told Me I Need To Clean The Fuel Injectors, Is That Expensive??? I Need To Fix It Because I Need To Get The Smog Test Next Month
The "Check Engine" light will only come on when the computer detects a condition that can cause the emissions to rise to a level one and a half times the maximum allowable level for that vehicle.
That could be from a failed injector to a sleepy oxygen sensor, to a shorted wire a the temperature sensor to… (?)
We need to know the code number to go further.
For Your Information…
merely adding an additive will not repair a mechanical fault of failure.
The code itself must be addressed, THEN the light must be turned off (it will not go out by itself), and then the car must be driven in a prescribed manner so that the computer can test all the monitors.
If this last step is not fully completed, the light may be off, but the car wil still fail the Emissions Test for "Monitors Have Not Been Run To Completion".
The best thing for you to do is take the little car to a reputable QUALITY repair shop, preferably an ASE certified shop, and diagnostics performed, and appropriate repairs made.

If U Google All Of That U Can Find The Truck Im Talking About I Got It In A Trade But Not From The Orignal Owner..Im Having Some Issues With It. 1 Sometimes The Truck Will Start Up And Then Stall Out And The Only Way To Start It Again Is To Spray Starter Fluid Into The Intake But After It Starts Back Up Its Stays Running And Will Drive. Problem 2 The Truck Has No Acceleration And When I Get On The Highway Top Speed Is 70Mph In 4Th Gear At 3500Rpm If I Shift To 5Th The Truck Slows Dont And I Have To Down Shift To Speed Up Again Oil Pressure Is Good And It Dosent Over Heat So Thats Good I Just Cant Figure Out What The Problem Is Also I Changed The Fuel Filter And Added Seafoam Thinking It Could B A Fuel Delivery Problem Still No Luck
It kind of sounds like a fuel pressure or volume problem. You are talking a 20 year old fuel pump if original, and if you have a cat converter on it it could be bad or even a fuel sensor. This can give you a starting point...
My Daughter Has A 1998 Ford Contour With 168000 Miles On It. Is It Worth $1,100 To Repair It?
The Car Is In Good Condition And She Loves It. It Needs A New Head Gasket And Possibly A New Head. The Leaking Gasket Has Caused The Car To Overheat And Chew Up The Timing Belt Put In 18 Months Ago. I Have Put New Tires, Battery And Brakes On This Car Since She Got It A Year Ago..
Two quick points is that it probably gets decent gas mileage and second that it doesn't have an "interference" type engine that would have been damaged when the belt slipped or broke (if this is her engine 2.0L 4-Cyl. (DOHC, VIN 3)) However, if it has the original automatic transmission, it will likely fail before 200,000 miles and you'll junk the car then. So my answer is if the rest of the car has received routine maintenance, to put the money into it and then cross your fingers until the transmission fails. Happy motoring!!
Is Auto Body Repair A Good Job?
Is This Job Considered Good, And What Is The Salary For This Job?
To be completely honest, I work in an auto body shop. I am not a body guy, I am a mechanic though. I see those guys do things that I would never imagine. It truly is a skill to be able to weld and form body panels back to their Original shape. The job is dirty. There is a lot of dust in the shop from the sanding and it is very noisy. When they have to straighten frames, the machines only go up about waist high. So you will spend a lot of time on your knees doing frame work. Cuts are the norm as there is a lot of sharp metal edges on everything. The good news is that tools are nowhere as expensive as a mechanic's. You will still need the basics, but not a whole chest of testers and pressure gages. Don't expect to do that great starting out. As with any job in the auto industry, you will need to prove your worth. Get used to giving the tool trucks a decent percentage of your paychecks when you are new. And working with insurance companies... well you'll see. But the career can be very rewarding if you are willing to be dedicated. Some companies will treat you like scum and others will treat you good. You will do some jumping around at first until you get comfortable. Hope this helps.
Car Repairs Too High?
So My Clutch And My Transmission Are Getting Work Done. The Clutch Broke, And Tranny Had Been Acting Up. My Car Is Worth 1800-2700 Via Kelly Blue Book. Total Repairs Are Looking To Be Between 1800 And 2000. I Was Not In An Accident. Could This Be Plausable To Consider Totaling The Vehicle?
Ps...I Live In Pensylvania Usa
There are ways to get your car fixed cheaper, starting with a cheaper mechanic. The mechanic in my neighborhood was an old man willing to do repairs for half price compared to everyone else and he did very good work. Sometimes the local Community College or Adult Education Center will take in cars and repair them for free, except for the cost of parts. Sometimes the local junk yard (auto parts recycler) has these parts available at a very reasonable cost. They are used parts that are guaranteed to be good, so once you inquire about the needed parts, you can casually mention, oh by the way, do you know someone who could install these parts for me? And finally, the next option would be to learn how to do some auto repairs yourself. It is possible to take auto repair classes at the local Community College or Adult Education Center and while you are there suggest to the instructor that you bring in your car for repairs.
