My Parents Are Planning To Get A Divorce?
Well My Dad Is Always Being An Asshole Talking **** To Us In Front Of His Friends How Im A Good For Nothing And He Says The Same About My Mom, He Always Makes Us Look Like Idiots In Front Of Everyone And It Get Even Worse When Were On The House With Him For Every Little Things He Goes Crazy He Stars Yelling At Us And Stuff Like That He Doesn'T Even Let My Sister Have Friends, My Mom Finally Decided To Get A Divorce And She Is Somewhat Scare Cuz She Doesn'T Know If She Will Be Able To Pay The House And Food , So Guys Have Any Of Your Parents Had A Divorce? Did Any Of You Had Major Problems With Money Or Anything Else And With The Divorce They Getting Who Stays With The House And And What Are Other Stuff That Happens When They Get A Divorce? (Guys Im Sorry About This Letter If You Cant Understand It Is Just That My English Is Not My First Language And Right Now Im Like Worry And Scare I Would Really Appreciate Some Help)

My parents are fortunately still together but I may have some advice/comfort.

Your dad will still have to pay child support so your going to get some money coming in from that not a ton.

You might be able to take him to court he sounds very much like an abusive father, you may be able to get help from CPC even if he's only emotionally abusing you not physically. Not emotionally taking care of you I believe falls under neglect.

I don't know much about this, but if worst comes to worst just realise your new life may not be as nice and you might not be able to afford as nice of things, at least you'll be away from your father and it seems like at this point that is all you can ask for.

Can Having A Unrelated Domestic Violence Charge Effect, If I Can Gain Guardianship Of My 75 Year Old Mother?
My Girlfriend And Myself Just Moved Into Her 75 Y/O Mother'S House. There Is A Legal Battle Going On Between Her Mother And My Girlfriends Sister Over The House. The Sister Does Not Live Here Anymore, Due To A Writ Of Restitution. Her Sister Has Abused Her Mother For Many Years And Was Trying To Cause Her Emotional Harm. She Succeeded When The Mother Had One Stroke. After She Survived That Stroke, The Sister Continued The Abuse Which Caused The Second Stroke. Her Mother Survived That None Too, But This Time She Could Not Remember Anything. The Sister Proceeded To Place The Mother In A Convalescent Home, Leaving Her There To Die, Saying &Quot; I Can'T Take Care Of Her Anymore, You Do What You Want With Her&Quot; Which Then The Sister Continued To Live In The Mother'S House With Her Three Equally Abusive Daughter'S. Bare In Mind The Property Is Owned By The Mother 67% And The Other 33% Is My Girlfriend'S Sisters'. The Sister Was Only Added To The Title, By Her Mother So She Would Be Able To Gain Credit. Now When My Girlfriend Found Out That Her Mother Was In A Convalescent Home She Immediately Rushed Over There And Saved Her And Brought Her To Her House (6 Years Ago) Well In All That Time My Girlfriend With The Help Of Her Mother'S Boyfriend,Nursed Her Back To Health. The Mother Is Now Of Sound Mind. My Girlfriend And I Are Now Living And Taking Care Of The Mother And To Protect The Mother My Girlfriend Needs Guardianship Of Her Mother. 2 Years Ago My Girlfriend Was Hit In The Face By Her Ex Husband, But Since They Were Living In The Same House, They Were Both Arrested For Domestic Violence. My Girlfriend Is The Most Caring, Loving Person On This Earth. Will That Incident Effect Her Gaining Guardianship Of Her Mother????

Only a lawyer/judge/court can answer that, but senior citizens are protected from domestic violence now. Your girlfriend needs to write a letter to the judge, detailing her arrest. If possible take anger management classes (even though the ex was at fault) to show responsibility. In the meantime, she should get power of attorney for her mother. That can be done through the social worker at the convalescent home. That also shows intent to care for her mother.

Does A Business Need A Lawyer In Small Claims Court?
I'M Wondering If It'S Required That All Business Have A Lawyer In Small Claims Court. I Was Told This, But I Just Want To Make Sure. The Entire Reason I Plan On Filing A Suit In Small Claims Is Because Of This - It Is (Of Course) A Long Story As To What I'M Suing For, But Basically - I'M Suing A Medical Office Over A Bill, And The Only Reason I'M Doing It Is Because I Know It Will Be Much Cheaper For Them To Just Refund My Damn Money Than Pay Their Lawyers. I'M In Florida (Duval County), But I Was Told This Was The Case Nationwide (Which Is Why I'M Slightly Skeptical, I Thought The Small Claims Courts, Like All Courts, Have A Good Number Of Variations In Their Procedures & Requirements). Thanks!!!

Call the local Court Clerk and ask.

Can you file as individual (assuming you are the patient who owes the medical office) to side step any laws pertaining to business owners?

Edit @garrytoo - lawyers are permitted just not required in small claims court. I was sued by a landlord for "damages" to my apartment after I moved. Since I left the apartment in better shape then when I moved in I was stunned so a lawyer-friend for advise. She suggested I file a small claim suit after my landlord for failing to return my deposit. That served to require the landlord to face me in court without me accruing legal expenses. Luckily, I had before and after photos of the apartment because the apartment had horrible stained carpet and a friend whose husband owned a small business selling carpet remnants. He sold me a cheap carpet remnant that was just taking up space at his shop and friends helped him install it in the apartment before I moved in. The landlord owned dozens of building so there wasn't around. I took the photos because I was actually worried about "improving' the apartment.

The landlord tried to get me to drop the case by getting it continued over and over but it started to become a matter of principle. I wondered how many other people didn't get their deposit back and since I worked near the court house and had a flexible schedule, I just showed up every time.

When the case was finally heard, the landlord wasn't there, he was represented by an attorney and not a very compete one! He arrived not even knowing what the case was about so the judge asked me to start. I was super nervous but I followed the advice given to me at the information booth - be simple and direct. I stated the facts of the case and that I had before and after photos of the apartment. The judge took one look at the photos and told the lawyer he would set a court date unless I had received a refund of my deposit within 14 days! A small victory for the little guy.

Personal Injury Question?
I Was Involved In A Personal Injury Due To A Beauty Salon. My Hair Ended Up Coming Out At The Crown And Now The Beauty Shop Is Claiming Damages Through The Insurance Company. The Company Has Offered To Pay All Medical Bills And Liability(Settlement For Damages). But First What Should I Ask For. My Scalp Has Scar Tissue And Hair Regrowth In Some Areas Seems Dim According To What The Doctors Have Told Me. What Is A Reasonable Amount To Ask For Pain And Suffering? I Have To Live With The Fact That My Hair May Never Grow Back And I Am Still At The Tender Age Of 28 Years Old. Sincerely, Distressed Woman

Get a lawyer and don't sign anything until then (don't even cash the check). If the damage is permanent, you may be entitled to much more than medical bills, but if you cash the check, you'll be stuck with whatever they give you.

As for reasonable amount, depends on where you live. Texas juries are crazy, so you might get like $100,000. Other places, maybe $10,000 to $50,000.

Again, get a lawyer and don't sign anything until you do.
