4 Ways To Help Your Lawyer Help You When you need a lawyer for any excuse, you have to work closely together as a way to win your case. No matter how competent they can be, they're gonna need your help. Listed below are four important strategies to help your legal team assist you to win: 1. Be Totally Honest And Up Your lawyers need and expect your complete cooperation - whatever information you're gonna reveal in their mind. Privilege means what you say is saved in confidence, so don't hold anything back. Your legal team needs to know all things in advance - especially information other side could learn about and surprise you with later. 2. Provide Meticulous Records Keep a regular and factual account of all the information associated with your case. Whether it's witnesses or payments being made, provide your attorneys with all the current data they should help them to win. 3. Turn Up Early For All Those Engagements Not be late when you're appearing before a court and steer clear of wasting the attorney's time, too, by being promptly, every time. Actually, because you may need to discuss last minute details or perhaps be extra prepared for the case you're facing, it's a great idea to arrive early. 4. Demonstrate You Have Your Act Together If you've been charged with any type of crime, it's important to be able to prove to the court that you simply both regret the actions and so are making strides toward improving your life. For example, if you're facing driving under the influence, volunteer for a rehab program. Be sincere and linked to the city the judge is presiding over. Working more closely together with your legal team increases your likelihood of absolute success. Try this advice, listen closely to how you're advised and ultimately, you should win your case.

Should I Contact A Real Estate Attorney?
I Was In The Process Of Getting A Property Through Hud. My Lender Made A Typographical Error In My Name (Sarah Instead Of Sara) On The Pre-Approval Letter. Hud Contacted My Broker On Friday And Told Us That We Needed It Changed Within 24 Hours, Or Else The Deal Was Dead. Problem Was That My Lender At Wells Fargo Was On Vacation, And Wouldn'T Return Until The Following Monday. No One At The Office Could Change My Name, But Were Able To Make The Other Changes That Hud Had Asked For (Signature Location, Etc...). My Broker Was Contacted On Monday, And They Cancelled The Deal And Returned My Earnest Money! I Don'T Understand How This Is Legal? It Wasn'T An Error On My Part, And Yet I Was Denied A Property. This Is A Special Circumstance However, I Am A Teacher, And Was Offered A Property Under The Good Neighbor Next Door Program. This Program Gives Me 50% Off The Purchase Price Of Certain Homes In My Area. I'M Concerned That This Was Just There Way Of Not Letting Me Get The Discount And Trying To Get Me To Buy It At Full Cost. I Submitted My Offer On Time, And It Was Accepted Immediately. I Need Advice! Should I Contact An Attorney That Specializes In Real Estate? Or Should I Just File A Formal Complaint Against Hud? Or Both? Thanks In Advance For Any Insight And/Or Advice!
Yes, painful as it is, you need one of the most revolting practitioners around - a real estate lawyer with HUD experience. It's worth the money. Hurry b/c there is still time to apply pressure before initiating lawsuit for lost oppty. It is ludicrous to lose a property b/c of a facial error so easily corrected.
International Child Custody Lawyers? Please Read!?
My Friends Husband Left Her And Took Their Son Across Seas To Jordan Without Her Knowledge, They Are Now Divorced, The Ex-Husband Left The Child With His Family In Jordan And Took Off To Chicago To Live. My Friend Desperately Wants Her Son Back But Doesn'T Know Where To Start.. Can Anyone Help ? I Would Greatly Appreciate Any Advice. Thank You!
(This section is not the best venue for answers on this topic.)
Your friend should consult with local lawyers to find experts in this difficult field. I have read of cases where the mother chose to have someone go to Jordan and extricate the child. If the father himself is physically in the U.S. (as you stated), the first thing a decent lawyer should do is ensure that he stays local and is not allowed to travel abroad ever again until the child is returned to his mother's custody.
"If a Jordanian parent chooses to remain in Jordan or leave a child behind in Jordan, the U.S. Embassy cannot force either the parent or the Jordanian Government to return the child to the United States...."
Under "Politics & Government", try asking in the "Law Enforcement & Police" section.
Car Accident - Can I File A Lawsuit?
Last Sunday I Was T-Boned In The Process Of Making A Left Turn Out Of A Driveway, There Was A Passenger In The Car. I Was Told By My Insurance That It’S My Fault For The Time Being, Even Though It’S Been Acknowledged Through Police Reports The Other Driver Was Speeding, On Her Cellphone And Had Time To React Otherwise. There Were No Skid Marks, And Two Bystanders Said She Didn’T Even Attempt To Hit The Brakes.
The process of filing a car accident lawsuit takes longer than most people realize but motorists should know that each state has its own statute of limitations regarding how long a person has to file a lawsuit. The average time limit across the country for filing a car accident lawsuit is within two years of the accident occurring.
The first step in filing a car accident lawsuit is to contact and hire an automotive attorney. The attorney will be able to file the lawsuit against the defendant in the case and then head to the pre-litigation stage. During pre-litigation the attorney will process all of the damages that occurred and attempt to settle with the defendant out of court to avoid a lengthy trial process. It is quite possible for the attorney and the plaintiff to earn more money if the case is settled out of court.
The next step in filing a car accident lawsuit, while still in the pre-litigation phase, is to collect any and all medical records, medical billing records, repair estimates to the vehicle, loss of wages and any other documents pertinent to the case. This process can take more than one month in total time to complete and once it is finished the lawyer can demand a settlement from the insurance company of the defendant. If the insurance company does not decide to settle with the plaintiff then the plaintiff’s attorney will issue the formal lawsuit to the court. Once the personal injury lawsuit is filed with the court a trial date is set. The date is usually set for one year from the date of the lawsuit being filed.
How Do I Go About Finding The Legal Name Of Business In Brooklyn. For Litigation Reasons?
My Car Was Damaged In The Kings Plaza Parking Mall In Brooklyn And I Want To Sue For Damages.
Two ways to approach this. All businesses are listed with the court house, in some areas it's called "assumed names". This is open records and you can research this, possibly on the internet. This will give you the name of the person who listed the business. Secondly, tax rolls are also open record, and sometimes available online. With the address, you be able to find out who pays taxes on the property. Good Luck.
Lawyer That Defends Doctors
Is There A Type Of Lawyer That Specializes In Defending Doctors? And If There Is What Is The Specialty Called And Can You Go To Law School To Specialize In It.
I have recently found this http://locate-lawyer.info/ you tell them what the prob is, they'll send it off to their lawyers who might or might not get back to you with a quote.
You then decide who to go with.
It's free till you choose someone, then obviously you pay the lawyer. You don't have to follow through with anything so you might as well try it

I am not an attorney but familiar with similar cases.
Generally if he is unable to care for himself he cannot care for someone else.
If he is under the influence frequently, he cannot care for children, cannot drive them anywhere under every state law (DUI), and places them in harms way.
Is he or does he have a tendency toward violence, anger or hostility or does he just have an alcohol problem?
In case no follow up - he needs to get help. The court can order him to a treatment which he will eventually appreciate if he really cares about his kids.
Any time he is not in sound mind (intoxicated) you should make sure you take the kids. You should explain that dad has some issues that he needs help with, and that you hope that the right doctor can help him soon.
Try to make the transition as pleasant as possible. Try to avoid arguments of any kid when around the kids and him. If he becomes difficult when drinking and resistant, the police or child services can intervene if necessary.
