Legal Advice..Grandparents Law??
My Younger Sister Has 2 Children. She Takes Good Care Of Them But Her Boyfriend Can'T Keep A Job And Take Care Of Them All. She Can'T Work Because, She Stays Home With Kids. She Knows He Is Not Responsible And Wants To Leave, And Try Things On Her Own. His Mother Told Her &Quot;Don'T Even Think About Leaving My Son, Or You Might As Well Sign Your Kids Over To Me. I Can Take Them Because Of The Grandparents Law??? What The Heck.. My Parents Own There Own House, Vehicle And Have Steady Careers, Unlike His Parents. If Anything Wouldn'T They Get Custody Of Her Children..
Your sister need to give that loser the boot! It drives me nuts when people don't take care of their families and it drives me even more nuts when crazy ignorant family members make empty threats. The "Grandparents Law" is like an Urban Legend. It has about as much pull as Big Foot or the Lochness Monster. Grandparents just can't take someone's kids away because the woman (or man) left their child. If that was possible--how many people would still have their children?
P.S. I do love grand parents and in some cases they defiantely need to step in and help families. The grandparents law often pertains to visitation rights--not gaining custody of a child when the parents are able citizens. But in this scenario this is a scare tactic and it's load of bologna.

I Want To Become A Medical Malpractice Lawyer.
However, I Do Not Know Where To Begin.
What Should My Major Be ? Could It Be Nursing ?
I'M Really Into That, And It'S Very Stable After College.
I Know I'D Have To Take The Lsat And Go To Law School.
But I Don'T Know What I Should Focus On, I Just Got Accepted To
My First Pick College, Like 7Weeks Ago, On Their My Major Is Listed As Nursing
Should I Change That ? What All Should I Know About The Profession ?
All Advice Is Helpful.
Congrats on being accepted to your first choice school! That's a great sign that you're a successful student, something that will serve you well both in college and law school. I'm going to give you some advice that glosses over LSAT prep - that's a few years away, and I'm sure you'll read up on it between now and then (and for this you should check out our blog, http://www.moststronglysupported.com; it has daily articles about the LSAT and law school applications).
From here, you need to pick a major in which you will receive an amazing GPA. The school cares about the number much more than the major in which you receive it, and the number will be the second biggest factor in your chances of admission (behind the LSAT). It sounds like you have an interest in nursing - that's great! If you really like that area, definitely major in it. You'll probably do better than most who don't already have such an interest in the subject. While not a major factor, the difficulty of the major will also reflect well on you. However, be prepared to answer the "Why law, especially medical malpractice, after nursing?" question - it will come up, but you seem to have your reasons.
Outside of the major, make sure to get involved in many extracurriculars. Find the ones that inspire you, and dedicate your free time to them. Law schools love to see student leaders, so try to fill positions in these groups. Build your resume, make friends, and possibly have an experience to write about in your personal statement.
This is general advice - feel free to head to the message board if you're looking for something a little more specific! And good luck!

I Need A Lawyer?
It Has Been (11) Days And I Have Been Viloated, Not To Say It Has
Been (11) Days I Was Terminated From A Job And I Haven'T Receive
My (3) Final Checks. I Need A Lawyer To Sue
No you don't need a lawyer. You need to contact the department of labor in your state. They will have a group called wage and workplace standards or something similar that will contact your employer about your last 3 checks.
You can only sue after you exhaust all of your administrative remedies (i.e. using the department of labor). So, contact the labor department.. they will get the job done for you and it wont cost you anything!
