4 Approaches To Help Your Lawyer Help You When you really need a legal representative for any excuse, you should work closely together as a way to win your case. Regardless of how competent they may be, they're gonna need your help. Listed below are four important ways to help your legal team assist you to win: 1. Be Totally Honest Or Higher Your lawyers need and expect your complete cooperation - regardless of what information you're likely to reveal to them. Privilege means everything you say is saved in confidence, so don't hold anything back. Your legal team must know everything in advance - most especially information one other side could discover and surprise you with later. 2. Provide Meticulous Records Keep an ongoing and factual account of most information pertaining to your case. Whether it's witnesses or payments being made, provide your attorneys with all the current data they should enable them to win. 3. Appear Early For All Engagements Do not be late when you're appearing before a court and prevent wasting the attorney's time, too, when you are punctually, each time. The truth is, because you might need to discuss eleventh hour details or perhaps be extra ready for the situation you're facing, it's smart to arrive early. 4. Demonstrate That You Have Your Act Together If you've been arrested for just about any crime, it's important in order to prove to the legal court that you both regret the actions and are making strides toward enhancing your life. As an example, if you're facing driving under the influence, volunteer for a rehab program. Be sincere and included in the cities the judge is presiding over. Working more closely together with your legal team increases your likelihood of absolute success. Try this advice, listen closely to how you're advised and ultimately, you must win your case.

I Am Looking For Perferably An Attorney That Can Give Me Some Legal Advice In Regards To Illegal Search Laws?
On 4-5-08 Probation And Parole Came To My Place Of Employment Took Me To My House, Did Not Identify Themselves To Anyone But Myself,Did Not Show A Warrant, And Began Searching. They Specificly Said That They Were There Because They Had Gotten Phone Calls That We Had Illegal Drugs. They Questioned Me Before I Had Been Read My Miranda Rights. They Went Right To Our Bedroom And Began Their Search. They Tried To Question Our 14 Yr. Old Son Without Our Permission. They Asked About My Husbands Safe And I Told Them It Was Not Mine And I Didn'T Even Know The Code To Open It. They Searched Areas That They Knew Were Not Mine. Nobody Supervised The Search They Made Me And My Husband Stay At The Other End Of The Trailer. They Brought 2 Different Agencies With Them, The Sherriffs Office And The Missouri River Drug Task Force And None Of Them Presented Any Type Of Warrant. Any And All Replys Acknowledgeable And Taken Seriously. Any Answers Are To Have The Same Respect.(Can Give Lots More Info ).

The answers so far are assuming you are on probation/parole. If this is true, and they did, in fact, receive phone calls saying you were involved in narcotics, you are pretty much SOL.

If you're not on probation/parole, then they conducted an illegal search. Anything they found is inadmissible against you, and you may even have cause for a civil suit against the City/County.

When you are on probation/parole, you agree to be subject to search and seizure by law enforcement at any time without a warrant or probable cause. This, in effect, amounts to a waiver of your 4th Amendment rights (although I personally disagree, the word "waiver" has been used in case law).

Therefore, they need no warrant. However, this does not remove all protection. I'm sure there is some case law in your state that says that searches of probationers/parolees cannot be "arbitrary or harrassing" (or similar language). If there were no phone calls, the search may be invalid.

Your story, unfortunately, does not necessarily require that they Mirandize you either. A Miranda reading is not necessary until you are in custody.

"they made me and my husband stay at the other end of the trailer" - HAHA! But seriously, you're not really in custody at this point.

You don't say if they found anything. If they didn't find anything, this isn't really an issue anyway.

How Does A Lawyer Determine If Someone Can Get Alimony Or Maintenance?
Was Married For 7 Years And I Found Out That My Spouse Was Cheating On Me.

The lawyer doesn't determine it. They are merely your representative as to the laws in your jurisdiction.

A judge will decide unless you opt for a mediator and can come to an agreement (also depending on where you live).

I Want To Live In Usa When Im Older And I Want To Be A Lawyer, Do I Need To Study Law At University In Usa?
Or Could I Study It In England Where I Live Now. I Know There Are Diffrent Laws But Could I Still Study In England

You can most certainly study law in the US. The only difference is that Law is a post-graduate course, meaning you cannot apply to Law school until you have completed a bachelor's degree. In the UK you can study law as a bachelor's degree.

After that it gets a little difficult. Each state in the US has a bar exam that students need to pass before they can practice law in that state. To even take the test you need to meet certain requirements, which may require you to have a domestic law degree as UK law and US law are based on different systems. Each state probably has different requirements, so you need to do some research into the state that you are interested in moving to.

You need to have a VISA to work in the US as well. A VISA is usually gotten by having an immediate family member who is a US citizen (parent or spouse the most common) or by an employer. An employer cannot offer you a VISA unless they cannot find someone w your skills in the US. Right now there are thousands of students coming out of US law schools who are having difficulty finding employment in law firms bc there are simply not enough jobs. An employer will not offer a foreigner a job if there are plenty of perfectly good US applicants who have your same qualifications. This may be difficult for you to pull-off as a new lawyer w no experience. You may be able to move to the US someday, but that day probably will not come until you are an experienced and specialized lawyer (ie- old)
