Is The Lexington Law Firm Helpfull?

Lexington Law Firm is what it says it is "A Law Firm". They are Lawyers, with specialized knowledge, who work on your behalf. They can not do any more, or any less than any other Lawyer with specialized knowledge. Lenders, CRAs, etc. have lobbyests in Washington D.C. to represent them. Lexington Law Firm represents the individual consumer as they are hired, like any other lawyer, by the person who feels they need representation. While you, the consumer, have the right to dispute information contained in a credit report you also have the right to hire a lawyer who specializes in this type of law to represent you and dispute information on your behalf. Do you know all of the laws? Do you know exactly how the legal system works? can you use the legal system to your advantage? and would you really know if a furnisher of information has acted 100% in accordance with every law? If you answered yes to "all" of these questions than maybe you don't need a lawyer. But remember: any lawyer who represents themselves may have a fool for a lawyer.

My personal experience? What took me over a year without any results took Lexington Law Firm one single correspondance!

At Lexington Law Firm, if you would like to speak directly to a lawyer about your case than they will answer the phone and talk to you as many times as you need. I have been real impressed with their services as I have a lot of experience hiring lawyers to represent me. $39.00 +/- to $79.00 +/- per month is cheap for legal services. And if you feel that you need full legal representation than they have a way for you to hire them for that too.

If the consumer writes a letter to a creditor than it may not be heard loudly enough. However a lawyers letter is heard through out the building. Creditors, Insurance Co's., CRAs all tend to act more quickly on the demands of an attorney than the consumer.
(hmm, I wonder why?)

If you feel that you need legal services than hire a lawyer.

Thinking About Being A Lawyer...?
I Am In 9Th Grade Now So I Have Time To Decide My Career Still But I Am Interested In Going To Law School. I Have A 98% Or Higher In All Of My Classes Plus I Play 3 Sports So Getting Into Law School Is Not An Issue. If You Are A Lawyer Could You Tell Me Some Things That You Like And Dislike About Your Career

Lawyers are a dime a dozen, go medical. Heck, there is a shortage of pharmacists and their median wage is $100,000K well above lawyers, less school for pushing pills, unbelieveable. Dentists 180,000K median and there is a shortage, and of course a shortage of MDs.

From US News, Poor careers for 2006
Attorney. If starting over, 75 percent of lawyers would choose to do something else. A similar percentage would advise their children not to become lawyers. The work is often contentious, and there's pressure to be unethical. And despite the drama portrayed on TV, real lawyers spend much of their time on painstakingly detailed research. In addition, those fat-salaried law jobs go to only the top few percent of an already high-powered lot.

Many people go to law school hoping to do so-called public-interest law. (In fact, much work not officially labeled as such does serve the public interest.) What they don't teach in law school is that the competition for those jobs is intense. I know one graduate of a Top Three law school, for instance, who also edited a law journal. She applied for a low-paying job at the National Abortion Rights Action League and, despite interviewing very well, didn't get the job.

From the Associated Press, MADISON, Wis. (AP) - A lawmaker who persuaded the Assembly to eliminate all state funding for the University of Wisconsin law school says his reasoning is simple: There's too many lawyers in Wisconsin.

From an ABA study about malpractice claims, More Sole Practicioners: There appears to be an increasing trend toward sole practicioners, due partly to a lack of jobs for new lawyers, but also due to increasing dissatisfaction among experienced lawyers with traditional firms; leading to some claims which could have been avoided with better mentoring.

New Lawyers: Most insurers have noticed that many young lawyers cannot find jobs with established firms, and so are starting their own practices without supervision or mentoring. This is likely to cause an increase in malpractice claims, although the claims may be relatively small in size due to the limited nature of a new lawyers

“In a survey conducted back in 1972 by the American Bar Association, seventy percent of Americans not only didn’t have a lawyer, they didn’t know how to find one. That’s right, thirty years ago the vast majority of people didn’t have a clue on how to find a lawyer. Now it’s almost impossible not to see lawyers everywhere you turn."

Growth of Legal Sector
Lags Broader Economy; Law Schools Proliferate
For graduates of elite law schools, prospects have never been better. Big law firms this year boosted their starting salaries to as high as $160,000. But the majority of law-school graduates are suffering from a supply-and-demand imbalance that's suppressing pay and job growth. The result: Graduates who don't score at the top of their class are struggling to find well-paying jobs to make payments on law-school debts that can exceed $100,000. Some are taking temporary contract work, reviewing documents for as little as $20 an hour, without benefits. And many are blaming their law schools for failing to warn them about the dark side of the job market.

The law degree that Scott Bullock gained in 2005 from Seton Hall University -- where he says he ranked in the top third of his class -- is a "waste," he says. Some former high-school friends are earning considerably more as plumbers and electricians than the $50,000-a-year Mr. Bullock is making as a personal-injury attorney in Manhattan. To boot, he is paying off $118,000 in law-school debt.

A slack in demand appears to be part of the problem. The legal sector, after more than tripling in inflation-adjusted growth between 1970 and 1987, has grown at an average annual inflation-adjusted rate of 1.2% since 1988, or less than half as fast as the broader economy, according to Commerce Department data.

On the supply end, more lawyers are entering the work force, thanks in part to the accreditation of new law schools and an influx of applicants after the dot-com implosion earlier this decade. In the 2005-06 academic year, 43,883 Juris Doctor degrees were awarded, up from 37,909 for 2001-02, according to the American Bar Association. Universities are starting up more law schools in part for prestige but also because they are money makers. Costs are low compared with other graduate schools and classrooms can be large. Since 1995, the number of ABA-accredited schools increased by 11%, to 196.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the inflation-adjusted average income of sole practitioners has been flat since the mid-1980s.

Many students "simply cannot earn enough income after graduation to support the debt they incur," wrote Richard Matasar, dean of New York Law

Is A Criminal Attorney Required To Give An Itemized Statement Of The Bill?
Last Year, Our Attorney Was Paid The Large Sum Of Money He'S Asked For, But We Only Got A Few Phone Calls, A Couple Of Letters, And One Meeting With Him. A Year Later, The Same Charges Come Up, He Demands More Money, So We Ask Him For An Itemized Statement Of Where Our Money Went To Help Our Case, And How Each Of The Very Few Letters/Calls And Visits Could Possibly Total To The Astronomical Amount We Paid Him. He Says Criminal Attorneys Don'T Have To Give Their Clients Any Statements About How They'Ve Charged Them For What Amount Of Money, And When. We'Ve Spoke To Another Individual Who Has Worked In A Different Law Office, And She Told Us Criminal Attorneys Can, In Fact, Give Itemized Statements As To What They Do With The Money.

A criminal attorney must do what he has agreed to do. If you contracted for an itemized bill, that is what you should get. If you paid a flat fee or a retainer, the analysis is different. You ask if an itemized bill is "required." No bill at all is "required" by some universal law, without regard to contract. You also ask if the attorney "can" give an itemized bill. Of course he can.

Free Legal Help With Divorce In Portland,Maine?
I Got A Friend In Maine Thats A Mother Of Two And Separated From Her Husband,He Pays For The Kids According To The Court Thing,She Is Living With The Kids In A House Both Her And Him Paying For Its Mortgage..Now She Needs Divorce But She Is Not Getting Enough Incom To Pay For The House Alone And Such Stuff,And Said That Maine'S Laws Divide The Whole Poperty Between The Husband And The Wife In Case Of Divorce .. He Is Turning Her Life Into A Real Hell And Nightmare .. He Is Trying To Get Back To Her Using The Adventage Of Her Being Unable To Handle The Divorce Thing And The House Problem ... Besides She Says That He Can Take The Kids Forever From Her ... Is There Any Way For A Free Legal Help For Ending That Misery?

Why do people expect to get free legal help with their problems? As the wife of a lawyer, I never get used to that. Do they think that a law education and running a practice is free? You wouldn't ask a doctor to treat you for free - and they get paid by health insurance most of the time, but lawyers do not. Believe it or not, legal representation is not your right - you have to pay for it like every thing else. WE live in a border town in Texas, where almost everyone seems to be on welfare, food stamps, WIC, housing subsidies, Medicaid, Medicare, AFDC, etc.. and people actually get outraged at my husband because he doesn't provide free legal services. He has to work like everybody else to earn a living and does not charge much to begin with, but they still want FREE.

Sorry for the rant, but I keep seeing this question and it bugs me that people feel entitled to monetary help with everything and feel that their own stupid choices and "poverty" are reason enough for everyone else to finance them through life. I have worked since I was 15 and full-time since 18. I do not accept any aid from the government and we drive 8-year-old cars. We pay taxes like everyone else and I get annoyed by people who try to take advantage. We can barely meet expenses for our family and have a little savings, but it kills me that when I go to the store these same people who plead poverty are "buying" expensive cuts of meat and junk food with food stamps, when I live on a tight budget to make ends meet. We can't afford to have another child (even though we'd like one), but the illegal aliens just walk across the border in labor and into the hospital and all is free - and then because of the new baby, the whole family gets in and starts on the welfare wagon. What's this country coming to? It's not fair and it's not right!

Perhaps this is the wrong forum for this angry comment, but darn it people - PAY YOUR OWN WAY AND GET OUT OF YOUR PERSONAL MESSES ON YOUR OWN NICKLE NOT MINE!
