Anyone Know Of A Cheap Divorce Lawyer In The Long Island Area?
hey, yes actually. My friend just went through a divorce and used a law firm in long island by Keil & Seigel. They were awesome and she was very happy with them. She actually did everything through email and fax so it was very convenient. Anyway, I'm looking on their site right now and it looks like they offer free consultations, so it couldn't hurt to check them out.

What'S The Difference Between Attorney Vs Lawyer?
I Am Looking For An Immigration Lawyer/Attorney But Don'T Understand The Difference Between The Two. Is There A Cost Difference? Which Is Better? I'M In Texas By The Way.
Lawyer, attorney, barrister, solicitor, counselor, counsel. These are all titles for the exact same position.
I refer to myself as a lawyer and an attorney interchangeably - but I find that I use attorney more often when I am writing and lawyer more often when I am speaking. Sometimes I will introduce myself as "counsel for the petitioner," etc. When judges get irritated, I find that they call us "counselor." It's just a matter of habit and personal preference.
Need To Talk To A Lawyer Online Need Free Advice?
Many lawyers offer free consultations by phone or in person. Otherwise.. try this:
1. Visit forums where lawyers visit by doing a search on google for "lawyer forums"
2. After you find the lawyer forum, register for a free membership account so that you can post question or comment on other topics.
3. There are categories for different topics such as business, accidents, court, and consumer law, etc. Pick the one that pertains to you and post a question. Your free answer from a lawyer or someone with expert knowledge of the law, should be there in no time as hundreds of members visit the site each day.
4. Contact them by email
Another more direct method is to visit lawyer websites. You would be surprised to find that many lawyers will listen to your email inquiries and let you know whether you have a strong case or argument against someone. They want to leave you a good impression by explaining to you certain facts that you have going for yourself; they know that if you find their answer to be of value and then you are more likely to trust and choose them to represent you.
I'm not sure if the above actually works - but if you're seeking free advice, I suppose it wouldn't hurt for you to try.
What Is Needed To Become A Very Good Lawyer?
Well my dad is a very good lawyer, and I know he's a really....really deep thinker. Like he thinks everything out before he has a case, he'll be like, well if I say this, what might the prosecutor say...and he always thinks of a back up, and how to get out of a bad situation if he needs to. Like he has a little notebook where he writes out what he's going to say for an opening statement, and he writes, okay, the prosecutor might come back using....and he writes down several things the prosecutor might try to use to counter him, and it's so fun to watch my dad in court, because you can always tell that he thought the case out, because it looks like he always knows what he is going to say before the prosecutor or the judge even finishes there sentence, when most lawyers would have to think for a second, and they wouldn't have nearly as good as a comeback.
Divorce Decrees And Dependents?
Every Other Year I Get My Daughter As A Dependent On My Tax Return. It Is Stated That Way In The Divorce Decree.(This Year Was To Be My Year.) For The Past Year My Daughter Has Lived With Her Dad. He Claimed Her On His Taxes This Year And Told Me It Was Because I Paid No Support. I Am Not Ordered To Pay Support. We Have Joint Legal And Physical Custody. Can I Fight This? And How Do I Begin? My Daughter Lived Solely With Me From The Age Of 4 Thru 14, Then Moved To Her Dads Because She Did Not Want To Change Schools When I Moved To A New Job. Any Help Will Be Appreciated.
thats one of those things you need to consider.Your daughter made the decision to move to her dads not thinking thru the divorce decree. If the child has lived and been supported by your ex husband the entire year, bought her clothes, fed her, and took care of the school issues, you really need to let him file the deduction. After all, what did you put into it other than a few meals when she visited, and maybe an icecream or 2????
You could legaly be a horses *** and file anyway, and show the decree, but by the time you get the decree redone to show who pays what, your going to come out cheaper and more peace in the family by simply allowing him to file.If it were the other way around, wouldn't YOU want it that way????
have a great day!!!!! have you been to ....www.divorcecare.org????
