Messed Up Parenting Plan??
My Parents Just Recently Divorced, And I'M Fine With It. The Only Problem Is That The Parenting Plan That They Settled With The Court Mandates That My Brother And I Are To Spend Every Other Week Night With A Different Parent And Then Alternate The Weekend. For Example, Monday And Wednesday At Dad'S And Tuesday And Thursday At Mom'S And Then Friday Alternates With The Weekend. I Have Never Heard Of Anyone Following This Back And Forth Everyday Schedule And Was Just Curious If It Was Common Or One Of My Parents &Quot;Brilliant&Quot; Ideas. I Know That I Am Eighteen And Will Not Be Living At Home For Much Longer, But I Have A 12 Year Old Brother And I Can'T Imagine Going Back And Forth Everyday For Six Or So Years. Any Thoughts Are Appreciated, I Am Looking For Either Parents Or Children'S Perspectives. Thanks.

Try talking with your parents first.. Try putting it like you would like to spend more time in a row with each parent. Maybe a week on and a week off for example. And then tell them how it is affecting BOTH of you. Let your brother do most of the talking since you will be leaving soon. Then if they don't care to listen...Go to the DCS and tell them that it is affecting you and your brother emotionally and physically, etc all areas.. Also is it written in the divorce records like that? You would think that if it was and it was read by a judge or lawyer they would think about the affect it would have on the children. You are supposed to be taken care of emotionally tooooo. Your parents may be happy with this schedule but it will affect both of you in all areas of your life forever. Your parents have alot going on in all those areas to so they might just need to know how you guys feel!~

I Gave A Lawyer A 3000. Retainer To File An Alimony Modification Due To Loosing My Job. 6 Wks No Action ?
Every Time We Call We Get Charged But No Answers, No Action, No Call Backs, 2 Weeks Ago Lawyer Finally Answered Ans Said &Quot; Ive Got You Messages But Been Busy With Appeal Cant Talk Now But Will Call By 5, Called At 4:30 Saying Still Tied Up To 11 Am Tom Morrow And I'Ll Pull File And Call Then, Its Been A Week, No Returned Call. Every Time I Call We Get Charged For The Call. It Wont Take Long For Her To Use Up The Retainer On Us Just Asking For Info On Petition That Is Not Even Filed Yet??

What a crook. I would terminate the relationship and either bring or have your file sent to another attorney. This one just isn't interested in your case, and without a job you can't afford to be using up money on an incompetent lawyer when there are so many talented and affordable ones out there. This is a really simple filing and there is no excuse for it not to be done by now. It's been six weeks, for heaven's sake. A snail would have carried it to the courthouse by now.

I appreciate that they're busy, but this is unacceptable. They've taken on more work than they can actually do. Write them or pay them a visit at the office, state that this isn't working out and you'll be seeking representation elsewhere, and ask for the file and whatever is left of your retainer.

Honestly, your lawyer should have done this on their own initiative by now and referred you to someone else. The bottom line is that you're paying for a service that you aren't getting. Not cool.

Which Is A Better Paying Lawyer?
I'Ve Always Wanted To Be A Lawyer Since Middle School. I Like Watching Shows Like Forensic Files And True Tv; So I'M More Interested Lately In Becoming A Prosecutor. It Seems Like My Calling, Considering How Much I Love Arguing And Proving People To Be Guilty In Real Life Situations. But Lately I Have Been Reading Articles About Prosecutors Switching Jobs To Become Defense Attorneys, Due To Their Low Salaries. I'M Worried I Won'T Get Paid As Well As I Want To Be. It'S Hard For Me To Find Salary Comparisons Online. Does Anyone Mind Sharing If They Know The Differences In Lawyers' Salaries?

It really depends on where you are. Prosecutors don't get rich, but then most criminal defense lawyers don't, either. There are some very high-profile ones who make very big money, but in general, criminal law on either side isn't where you are going to make huge bucks.

On the other hand, prosecutors and public defenders both have a relatively comfortable salary compared to a lot of jobs, and the government benefits and pensions are a big perk.

Here, the PDs actually make a higher salary than the prosecutors, because the PDs are State employees, while prosecutors are county employees.

Starting salary in our office is now around $55,000, I believe, and the highest paid prosecutors in our office make over $140,000.

If you feel a "calling" to be a prosecutor, though, you will enjoy your work, which to me, is way more important than the money I make.

Making A Complaint Advice And Law On It?
I Ordered With A Sports Company Providing Kit For My School. I Ordered A Medium Sublimate Jersey (As Shown In The Invoice). I Then Selected To Have My Kit Have A Number And Initials Printed On It. Anyway, The Sent Me Large Socks And A Large Jersey, Which Are Both Far Too Big. On Their Website It Says ''Once Any Personalised Printing Or Engraving Has Been Completed, We Cannot Provide A Refund. We Reserve The Right Not To Print Anything Which Could Be Deemed As Offensive. Under Normal Circumstances Please Allow Ten Days For Delivery. '' If They Refuse To Refund Or Replace The Item, Is There Anything I Can To About It? As This Was Their Error. I Have A Feeling They Aren'T Going To Accept This Judging From Another Persons Case. Any Help, Law On This Kinda Thing Would Be Helpful! Charlie

No law, you did not say where you are and the laws for your state would control but the school should work with you to get the problem solved if it was ordered through them.

What Are Some Non-Traditional Interview Questions You Have Experienced?
Question Is Pertaining To Interviews With Major Corporate Law Firms.

I was taken out to (an hour-and-a-half) lunch by a partner and a senior associate at a major litigation firm. While I don't specifically recall the questions asked, I do remember that the partner (UMich) pushed me to defend my position(s) through his skillful arguing of contrary ones.

Some of the things we talked about were vicarious liability, med mal, products liability, China, baseball (Barry Bonds), the people who were attacked by the Tiger at the Zoo, past experiences and why I did them, Terry stops - all kinds of stuff.

It was nerve-wracking, no question - they seemed satisfied though when I could clearly articulate my positions on certain topics.

Best of Luck.

Is There A Website Where I Can Search For An Attorney And It Will Give Me A Verdit Count?
I Would Like To Be Able To Put The Attorney'S Name In And Get The Number Of Times The Attorney Has Sued, Number Of Times Those Suits Went To Court, Number Of Times The Suit Was Thrown Out, Number Of Times The Suit Was Settled, And Number Of Times They Won The Suit.

I don't think so.... You can do your own investigating, court by court by court...
